I'm a fan of clowns, but it really depends on what you like. You shouldn't choose based on money. To get a BP that is worth more money you have to spend more in the first place. Plus by the time a BP is old enough to breed the going price for that morph has already dropped. Just get something that you like...

Something else to consider is if the morph is recessive or not. Recessive morphs like the clown have to be bred with another clown (or het clown) to produce more while co-Dom morphs like the pastel will produce more pastels when bred to anything.

We usually bread chicken, and breed ball pythons, but hey, what ever you're into man...

You get what you think is the prettiest morph you can afford! If you think it's pretty than others will probaly think the same about the babies. It is what you think looks good because you have to look at it and care for it everyday.

There's no quick and easy return on your investment with ball pythons.

Not only do you have to produce quality animals, you have to have built up some sort of reputation in this hobby in order to gain some level of legitimacy.

I can't tell you how many people I've witnessed want to sink all their money into what they thought was the "hot morph" flavor of the month, only to go quietly into the night, never to be heard from again.

Whatever might be "hot" right now, probably won't be "hot" by the time you raise it and breed it and produce babies.

If you truly love ball pythons, don't get into it expecting to make money. Get into it because you love it, and work with what YOU love, not what you think other people will love.

About how much would it cost to get everything I need for only one clutch?

I would start your own thread for a question like that, you will get better answers. Ask it in the BP breeding section. There are a lot of variables so if you could give us some more details that would help.

I think the biggest deciding factors that we have not heard of that would be very decisive would be the following:

What would be your initial investment?
How much time are you willing to sink into this project? (few hours a month? few hours a week? few hours a day? full time?)
How much space can be made available for this?
What you be annual budget you could sustain for a few years with 0$ income from this(got to expect the first few years at 100% loss or near to it)?

But the best answer is go with what YOU like, I'd rather buy a 10% overpriced specimen for someone with true burning passion and care about what he does, to who and how he sells then to get an animal from a "puppy mill" style operation that just want to turn and burn their stock.

The hot BPs change really fast. You can't ask what's hot now you have to guess at what'll be hot when your clutch hatches.

Trying to go with whatever morph is popular or will make more money will end up biting you in the butt later on. Find something that really sparks your interest and look for the best quality you can find with the traits you like. It takes 2 years for a female to grow out, longer if you have a picky eater. If you aren't invested with some personal interest in the project that's a long stinkin time. By the time your female has grown out and is ready to breed then the morph has come down in price.

I'd suggest you look at some of Colin Weaver's blog posts about BP breeding, he has some insightful opinions on the matter and puts a lot of the factors into perspective. And everyone's said it but it can't be stressed enough, find something that you like and can stick with because it's something you want to produce
