Yes, it is true. I have discovered a new way to make a snow ball python, with less yellow then the normal snows. The typical snow gets riddled with fugly yellows and pattern as it ages. A flaw from the axanthic, as stated in another thread. I found a little loophole, with minor yellows. Get really nice pied, barely any color, mainly white. Breed this to albinos until you weed out the brown and you will get a snow, but with minor yellows. It will have all white, red eyes, but maybe a few patches of yellow where the pied part shows up. It isn't as good as the lucy, but it'll be a better snow with less yellows.

    Think it'd work?

Would it work? Of course, but would it be better than the snows? I don't think so. My reasons are, first off you never can tell if you are getting a high white pied or not. Also the yellow is not going to be faded at all, it is going to look just like an albino, much brighter than the yellow on a snow. I do think albino pieds will be awesome, but for completely differant reasons than the snow. I think the snow is an awesome morph, and I, for one, am still very excited about producing one. Just my thoughts.

Yeah, I got to thinking about it, maybe you could throw in an axanthic gene, but then it's not worth the effort.

I would love to see an albino pied, and someday i plan to own one.Ive seen a pic of a pied mating with albino so im sure by the time i ever make any theyll ba a few around.
Ive got the het for albinos now,so im slowly working my way there.I cant wait to see my very own albino in a few years.I like most types of python regius, but pied and albino are the top of my list(course some i think are a joke of a morph-like someone said in a different post, but still nice looking snakes)

My tops are spiders, snows, and pieds.

    Yeah...expensive tastes.

I myself would go for the mojave if I had $15K to throw around =) Then I'd have to say Spiders would be my second pick.

I want to see a JET BLACK bp. They have something they call melanistic (black) but it isn't black, if you have seen it I think on Ralph Davis' website. It's just really dark. When they come out with that, I'll be EXCITED. :)

Oh whoa, where did this come from!!! Here is a link to Steve Gooch's website (should have known!):

    http://www.stevegooch.com/GalleryEig...colateball.jpg

This isn't a jet black BP like I wanted but pretty close!! (Chocolate) Anyway, I LOVE IT! Even though I think it is wild caught, not proven genetic. It could be, since it looks kind newborn in the picture, but its still beautiful to me! Any one know any other info on this beauty?

Oh, and is it just me, or does the picture make it look like the bp has "bug eyes"? Or bigger eyes then the usual? I don't know, its face looks kind of mis-shapen to me around the nose area. :-\ Let me know your opinions on it.

Kinda look's like it has a dragon head...That is one cool looking herp.

I heard it is extremely rare, not much else I know bout em. The nose does look funny, hehe.

Jeanne has a weird ball, I guess it's kinda like that but with a slight pattern. Her comp is screwy, haven't seen pics yet, it'll be sweet I bet.

I personally would choose a normal over that if it came down to looks, not value or rarity. I'd choose a norm over a lot of morphs if it came right down to looks.

    Pile 'O Poo...
The story I heard on the chocolates goes like this (2nd and 3rd hand info so take it with a grain of salt):

Strictly Reptiles hatched them (two in 2002 I think) from cinnamon pastel like parents so it appears that they might be the homozygous/super form of a co-dominant cinnamon like (not sure if it's the same as Graziani's cinnamon pastel) co-dominant mutation.

They have a lot of odd things like missing nose scales, which may or may not go with the mutation.

I think Brian Sharp ended up with them.

How many are there out there?

In captivity? I think only two like mentioned above (considering I had never even heard of them before this) but in the wild? The possibilities are endless. :)

Is there any particular reason that you bumped a SEVEN YEAR OLD thread?????

I could see it if you had some further insight on the topic, but to bump a thread to say something as deep as "not really"??????
