She still building, right?

I know this girl is building, there is no mistaking that, but I'm not sure if she's ovulating yet.

And here are pictures from tonight. She's been jamming herself in her water bowl lately but tonight I found her wrapped around it. It's hard to tell in the pictures, but she seems much bigger than she did a few days ago.

I can't wait for her to ovulate. She's my biggest girl at ~2600g and she's been breed to my pastel yellow belly and enchi male the most. She has also locked with my spotnose, but not much and not recently. She will also be my first gravid female when she goes. :D

Are you sure you didnt miss her ovy because she looks HUGE!

I don't think I missed ovy, she's still sitting on her cool side all day. I haven't been checking daily though because I've been busy with work, so I guess it's possible.

She does look huge! I have a couple females the same way but I am unsure if the ovulated. Work has been very busy and I have been traveling alot so I could easily have missed them.

Best of luck with your girl and keep us updated. Maybe it's the crazy winter, or lack of a winter, here in Wisconsin.

I'm pretty sure she's ovulating right now. :D

Her tail suck was even more pronounced this morning and the swollen section of her body is extremely tense. She was still wrapped around her water bowl, but I expect her to move the warm side soon. :banana:

I was gonna say the last pic in the original looked like the early signs of ovy and after seeing the second set of pics....Ovy! Congrats! Just got my first one for the year yesterday.

I'm looking forward to getting my first clutch ever on the ground, but I'm terrified I'm going to mess up incubation somehow. I'm hoping for a female enchi or two and maybe a female pastel yellow belly. :please:

Yup as others have said, you caught the early ovy, and then the "WHOOOOOOAH WHEN DID YOU EAT THAT FOOTBALL" look!
