Lets give this forum a jump start. These pics are of Macklott's pythons. These are my most recent addictions. They have a nice irridescence, and are amazing to look at. 7 feet is a good sized Macklott's, and they are pretty cheap. Enjoy some pics.
By the way, these aren't mine

Liasis has to be the most amazing family.

Is that top picture full grown? That is one beautiful snake man. I really hope you end up getting one.
-
Yeah thats full grown. I'm pretty set on getting one come march. Lets hope. For such a nice snake it is amazing it is not very popular.
-
I still can't get over how it shines so much. It looks like a rainbow.
-
They can be rather aggressive, although they often become less so as they mature
-
I wish you wouldn't have posted this. Now everytime I come on the site, I feel obligated to look at that first pic up there, and fall in love all over again. Rrrrr... I can't want another snake. lol, I already want too many.
-
Haha......I thought You were gonna order a nother bp from www.lllrepltile.com ?
-
I'm ordering another bp, doubtfully from there though. Gotten too many negative reports.
-
If you've ever held a 4 foot bp about as thick around as your wrist, they can be a hell of a handful. I had a female who got irritable often and would give me a hard time. She was big enough to fly around with ease, and escape with relative ease. I think this really is needed before a person can make the sudden leap to a seven foot snake. Adult bps can be a handful as well.
LLL, from what I've read, often sells some sickly animals, some with mites, I've heard of them confusing orders as well. Sure, the good far out weight the bad, but I personally wouldn't buy from them. Go with a place trustworthy, like NERD.

Hee hee...Macklot's LOVE TO EAT!!!
I've always wanted to breed one to a Retic & call the offpsring Big Macks...
In the mean time, here's what can happen when you breed a Macklot's to a Carpet (called a Carplot), and breed the resulting Carplot back to a Diamond python:

Looks like a mix of a carpet and a scrub. I'd prefer a normal macklott's over a hybrid any day. Those are very intersting though.
Kara, do you have spare pics of macklott's laying around?
-
That is a wild looking snake! I would've called it a Macpet, instead of a Carplot! So is that one a Diamond Carplot, then? I've never seen or heard of those! Available from NERD?

Markers
Macklottes are great snakes!!!!
I accually need a male for my girl. she is great. I have heard some can be snippy, she is a handfull, but manageable. She has done school shows when the carpets are shedding etc.
I would reccommend NERD for snakes over LLL, Just my two cents.

Got any pics of here? That'd be awsome
-
I'd love to post some pics,
How would I post them on this certain thread?
-
Click here and upload your photos into your gallery. Then post a message on this board, and click on the URL button in the compose post screen. Copy and paste the URL of the picture, then click the URL button again to end the link. Your pic will show up in the post.
-
Well, you might need a photo hodt, if you need one I can give you an album. When you get the pics at your pic host right click and drag down to properties, where you'll see a url like http://www.url/com/somecrap/pic.jpg copy that. Then write --
-
Alright,
Maybe if I copy and paste the link.

Those three pics are accually from about a year and a half ago.
she was still in her isolation tank.
I'll try to get some better pics of her in her enclosure.
They are a wonderful snake to keep. I normally don't like to breed certain species, as we run the rescue. But I am definately interested in breeding her. I think eventually I will come across a male.
Let me know what you think of her.
anyhow, thanks for the tips on the picture posting.
You guys are doing wonderfully with the site. I'll try to spread the word
Thanks

That macklott's is amazing! Makes me want them more and more, they're growing on me! I'd probly sell my left nut for an adult female right now, geez. I definitely need to get one. Let us know if you get more pics.
About the site. Just three months ago we were are about 25 members, with barely any forum posts. We averaged about 250 hits a day, and were really small. Up until 3 weeks ago we were small as well. It seems the herp world has just discovered us, and we are growing like mad. Not much longer till we are up to the big dogs. But at the moment we could use all the help we can get to keep growing. Thanks for spreading the word.

Stubborn and Picky Pythons
no problem it is a great site.
She is a great snake, I have to find a nice male for her.
Their eyes are what get me, our 4 year old calls her the "Blue eyed liasis".
She is pretty cool

Funny old slugs....
Cat like eyes are so sexy in a snake, it makes them look intelligent and evil.
