    Mojave vs. Butter/Lesser??
I've been looking online and trying to choose between the three. I know the lesser and butter are technically the same... but then the mojave is also very pretty. What are some different morphs that can be produced from these three? Does anyone have some pictures they could post of the lesser/butter and mojave? I'd appreciate some input from anyone with experience with these morphs :)

Of course, the super form of any of the three is the BEL. Aside from that, I think the Lesser gene makes a great combo with other Co-Dom genes. The Kinpin, and Pastel Lesser are a couple of my favorites.

You can make tons of combos with any of them. Go to www.worldofballpythons.com/wizard and have some fun. Start with a mojave on the left, then pair to a bunch of different female morphs to see what you can make and what you like. Then do the same with a lesser or butter. I think they both (if you consider lesser and butter to be the same morph) make truly beautiful combos, which is why I have both of them in my collection...

It depends on what you like MORE. I think queen bees, lesserbees, and lesser ANYTHING looks awesome. Mojave's also make big differences in morphs, but it's also linked to the phantom/mystic magic that's been happening. I prefer mojave in darker morphs like the black pastel. I think lessers help color up things better. Just my preference :D.

    My Lesser:

Personally I love them both, but if I had to choose one, it would be the lesser.

Anything with the lesser gene, I love. Lesser combos are gorgeous in my opinion.

kingpin (lesser x pinstripe), lesser bee (lesser x spider), queen bee (lesser x pastel spider), cinnamon lesser, pastel lesser, BEL, etc etc are some of the more common lesser combos.

Pastaves (pastel x mojave), jigsaws (mojave x pinstripe), etc etc are popular mojave combos.

Check out World of Ball Pythons.

+1 to that. LOVE that high contrast, the dark blacks and bright yellows... I would LOVE to see what kind of magic a black pastel could do with that mojo...

All three are essential in all collections IMO. Just pick which one you prefer the most. I prefer the darker combos with Mojave and the lighter stuff with Lesser or Butter. You can't go wrong with any of them. That's why I have all three :D

Would would you guys and gals pay for a decent lesser and mojave? I'm seeing so many adds on kingsnake and faunaclassifieds but they are all over the place

200-300 for a male. 300-400 for a female. There's definitely some quality difference so make sure you pick a could one ;p.

Thatd be for a lesser. Mojaves tend to be a bit cheaper than that imo. Especially at expos

I like both, but I think I favor Butter. Here's one of my mojave girls:

and here's one of my butters:

I love that butter, he had almost a full stripe down his back. I kept one of his siblings who had most of a stripe.

This is the one I kept, but you can't see his stripe here:

Also I suggest you look at pictures of these snakes as adults as they, like most bps don't look as they did when they were hatchlings. ( if your choosing by what you think looks best)

I have both, we are shooting for some Bel's in a few years. If I had to pick just one, it would be my butter. She is beautiful. Here is the best picture I have of her.http://img.tapatalk.com/aefdc010-d66d-9a26.jpg

Here is my mojo boy, he is camera shy, so not the best pictures. I should have named him bashful..lol

I've got both lessers and mojaves, I personally think the lesser looks better by itself, however I think the mojave with it's darker colors combines better in some combinations. I would recommed one of each. (but you're right about butter and lesser being the same thing)
