Try feeding an hour later ahha. I just tried to feed my boy at 10pm which is the schedule I feed him. It took 4 tries of reheating the rat and guess what at exactly 11pm (10pm prior) he struck the second I opened the doors to his cage.

Seriously though it was really annoying.

My ball python just ate his first rat fuzzy (switched from mice) while in full shed.. struck it within 2 seconds.

My dumeril's boa won't eat for anything.. go figure.

It can be frustrating. I've just come to expect numerous refusals from my ball pythons at this time of year. Most of the females are eating fine, but right now all of my males except for the baby have been refusing food. I think you get to a point that it doesn't bother you anymore, knowing that its typical and that bigger ball pythons can go months without food with no ill effects. At this time of year I just thaw slightly over half as many prey items as pythons and offer prey to everyone weekly. I keep my boas on the same feeding schedule, and they are happy to eat up any leftovers, so there is never any waste.

Mine ate! I had one that didn't eat for three weeks though and I started worrying. She is only 126 grams. She ate last night though!:)

Mine refused until I heated the rat and laid it in his hide over the hot spot. Walked in to take it from him, cause I assumed he wasn't going to eat, and he had it half way down. I just froze and prayed he didn't let go of it, haha.

Mine refused last night too! After eating great for two weeks straight! Hmm... weird. Little punks. Your title sure caught my eye, though!

After they're thawed I just put them in hot water or you could you a heat lamp or something.

I let them thaw in the fridge overnight in a special snake only tupper ware container. Then heat them with hot tap water 5-15 min then hit them with a blowdryer and feed. The blowdryer scents the room and usually gets everyone ready to feed :) Most the time

I put mine under my desk lamp on the screen to his tank after they've been thawing in the fridge for a while. He gets reeeeeeeally interested in the top of the tank all of a sudden :P

This is why I keep a snapping turtle, whatever the snakes refuse, he gets. He's getting pretty chunky though

Just had my second week of 4 ball pythons refusing. One female has been off food for a month, and one male has been off for about 4 months (normal for him this time of year). Remembered this thread and can totally relate.

Needless to say, all of the morelia ate.

    Tis the season.

I have 1 of my larger females off food since January. 2 other females since February and my 2 big boys just couldn't be bothered right now. I feed live so when they don't eat I end up having some new "pets".... for about a week....
