Feeding in Blue
Hey guys so my 250 gram normal girl just started her blue, and was wondering if i should feed her tomorrow.
-
Some snakes will just not eat while in blue, but it wouldn't hurt to try. I try with mine who go blue/are in blue, sometimes they take and sometimes they refuse and the feeder goes to someone else.
-
I'm not an expert, but I can't see why it would hurt to offer.. I offered in the same position and he took it.
-
I have some that will eat no matter what, and others that will not eat from the time they go blue until after shed.
I would offer.
-
I always offer and leave it up to the snake.
-
Quetzal eats while opaque, just takes him longer to figure out where he should bite :P
-
The only thing I don't know about is feeding while in full blown shed?
-
Both mine eat while in shed all the time, neither have ever refused a meal. My step brother's is a picky little girl and wont however.

Re: Feeding in Blue
A couple of mine wont eat when they are about to shed, the others don't care lol
-
There really isn't any negative things I've ever heard, so it's really a matter of if the snake will eat. ;)

thanks guys, yeah my male eats while in shed, this is just her first shed with me so i figured id ask :rolleye2:
-
My guy lost his eye caps today and should be all done in a day or so. Would feeding him now help the shedding process

Re: Feeding in Blue
It can't hurt to try, if they aren't to crabby. Tonight when I came home first two tubs snakes had started to go blue. I offered, and they ate. Seems if they are just starting to blue they will eat, but if totally in blue, they wont. but I suppose it depends on each snake. My bee is a hog, I don't think she would ever turn down a meal. My normal, a bit more picky. Bottomine, it can't hurt to offer.
