Devil made me do it

Picked up this carving at the swap meet today and figured I would play around with the light box a bit. May try it again tomorrow with a red backdrop.

Which do you like better?

A: BEL

That's a pretty cool picture definatly a BP of the month contender. I prefer the BEL.

I'm sorry...I'm far too creeped out by that mask thing to comment on your gorgeous snakes. ;)

Love the carving, and love the BEL :) I need to get me one of those...

I like both, But I think I'm going to have to go with the Fire Yb.:snake:

That's a gorgeous Fire YB, but I had to go with the BEL because of the way she's draped over the statue's face. He looks like he's squinting because of it. :P

My vote is Bel. I think red back drop with the Bel would look cool too.

Both Look great, but the Lucy defiantly stands out

That's an awesome set of photos! I think I like the Leucistic best but they're both great :)

Visually, I like the BEL (that's what I chose). But I like the whole fire/devil theme. Very clever.

I like the composition of the BEL picture better.

That carving is freaking SCARY. You should put a black axanthic with it, that would be demonic!

Nah, I do not plan to go that route....

I couldn't decide which one so I asked my 4 yr old daughter, she says fire yb :)

Going with the devil theme, I really like the Lucy BECAUSE of the irony. White is associated with purity and innocence, but snakes (from a symbolic standpoint) generally symbolize something demonic or dangerous. So I think putting a white snake on a devil mask is a CRAZY awesome juxtaposition. I totally over analyzed that, but shoot me, I'm an English major. :D

I quite agree with you on this one. Over analyzed or not I think thats why I liked the BEL too...

I love the BEL pic!!!

I may have put a nicer version of the BEL pic up for BPOTM........ ;)

BEL looks more intense...
