How do you like using sani chips? Ive used cypress mulch and newspaper for my snakes and i dont really care for either of them :/
The cypress mulch is ok but it isnt ground up very well and there are some huge chunks. And newspaper is ok but not nice looking lol.
Im trying to decide between using aspen or maybe trying sani chips...

I love the sani-chips. They're just aspen in little bitty pieces so it's very fine, very soft on the snake's scales, and A-OK for them to ingest. I would recommend it. It also comes in nice sized $10 bags packed to the top and last time I ordered, shipping was cheap.

Cool pics, I love them. Is that abnormal for boas? Aren't they ambush predators?

Yea i know its sounds lame but i dont like how rough the cypress mulch is on them. I feel like it could hurt sliding over it but im sure in the wild they go over worse stuff :p

Where did you order yours from?

Edit: also one more question... Does it clump up when it gets wet? Bc my snakes like to splash their water around in the tubs sometimes making the cypress wet which spikes the humidity on me lol

I got mine from The Pet Pharmacy.

In my experience, it clumps. I am able to scoop the tubs for urates like litterboxes, it's pretty convenient.

It's not really abnormal. Most boas will burrow once in a while. I have only seen Eve burrow that one time, but Ember seems to do it a lot more.

My girl makes a mess when she burrows, since she's so huge. But it's soooo cute to see just her lil' nose sticking out!! :D

That's why I never refer to my snakes as any particular locale. Just 'BCI' will do it for me.

That's my favorite, as well. She's so curious. I really think she thought she was getting food.

It probably has something to do with tapatalk. My other sig shows up fine from my computer.

Now let's see if bold works..
