Brown Back?
So i've never heard of brown back before and I don't see it on the morph list but maybe it's another name for something... Anyway, these pictures were sent to my cell. Normal or something else?

Sorry bud it looks normal to me. I have a couple normals that look similar with little pattern on thier backs.
-
I would label that as a Black back normal.
Black blacks can be a genetic trait, but not its own morph.

There are genetic black backs...
The only way to find out if what you have is genetic is to breed lol
Looks like a normal tho to me...

It is a normal, yes. The brown back of which you speak is also called black back. This refers to the large amount of black or lack of patterning on the back. Yours also has a nice amount of what is called blushing in the black, which makes it look brown.
While it can be genetic, passed on from parent to offspring, usually it's just random. It makes for an attractive snake, as you can see.
By the way, I'm sure you already know this, but I'm gonna say it anyway. Be extremely careful with a cat or kitten around your snake. Cats tend to bat or paw at things they find interesting, and their claws can cause an almost instant and severe infection. I know, I almost lost my right foot to an infected cat wound, and I only waited one day to see a doctor. :O

It's not my snake... I would never let a cat around my snake.
I said in the first post the pictures were sent to my cell phone. I was asking before i get it because i thought it was a normal, i'd never heard of brown back...
Thanks for all the responses, I wanted to make sure before i considered getting it, just in case it was something new or was better known as something else.

I didn't think it did either.
That sellers link is the only thing i see saying anything about "Brown Backs"

Sounds to me like he's trying to pass off a cheap snake as an expensive one.

As far as I know...
Brown backs are simply black backs with a bit of extra blushing. Black backs can be genetic, but may NOT be genetic, so while they look neat, they may not pass on anything to the offspring at all. Brown backs with a LOT of blushing might pass on a lot of blushing to the babies, but maybe not.
In my opinion, it's a genetic "crapshoot" on those particular snakes in the pictures sent to you. I wouldn't pay more than for a really nice normal male I considered a possible "dinker".

Did you look at the link provided above? They are not just Black Backs with a lot of blushing. They are lacking " dark" pigment all around not just in the blushing.
To the OP, that snake does NOT look like a Brown Back to me. It does look to be a Black Back. Who knows if it is a Genetic Black Back ? As others have said I would not pay more than " normal".
