How do you ID a Mystic ???????
Title says it all, I have a chance to get a Mystic off of someone that is about 80% sure it is a Mystic. It came from a Mojave x Mystic clutch last season

I think they're generally a little darker...IMO, they kind of look like an ugly mojave. Very similar though, so if the person isn't sure, you may want to keep looking.

Please let me know your opinion. These are coming from a VERY well known breeder in the industry and he offered them for a really good price.
"They look like mystics to me and I've worked with mystics longer than almost anyone, but its hard to say for sure."
Reason Im not saying who this is is because I dont want anyone going and scooping them up lol sounds selfish but If i get one ill then write who it was sorry !!!!

Personally I would say that it does not look like a mystic to me. I would only go for it if you were paying a VERY good price. By very good I mean nowhere near what mystics go for. Especially if the breeder is only 80% sure.

Edit: In the second pic the sides do have some typical mystic patterns, but I still don't know if that would be enough to seal the deal for me.

For that price I reckon I would gamble and prove it out.

    That's definitely not a Mojo.

Mojaves have a greenish hue to them that Mystics do not have, seeing the pictures I would say Mystic.

Looks like a mystic to me to. I almost went for one of these a while back but wanted a female not a male.

    Looks mystic to me.
But if you're having doubts and not 100% sure, then I would pass. You shouldn't get something you're questionable about.

That's not a mojo so it's probably a mystic. I have also read that mystics have some belly markings as opposed to mojo's that have clear bellies.

Breed him to a mojo in a couple of months and find out for sure, although it does look mystic to me. If I had a little extra cash right now I would be asking you who the seller was ;)

That's the plan for next season. I have a 600-700 gm female mojo now that should meet weight by next season and I'm looking to pick up another mojo soon
