What a picky pied
This female drove me nuts for the past almost year with not wanting to eat. She would strike an coil and then leave it there no matter what i fed her. Live\ft still didnt matter. Today she finally took her first meal without hesitation.

Congrats!!! It must be really exciting to have her finally eat. Props for the patience and persistence!
What do you think got her eating finally?
Feel free to post more pics of her... I love pieds :D

deff a great feeling to get her to eat. She was the only one who no matter what i did i even changed the hides an everything she would not eat. She seemed interested in eating tonight so i opened her tub an instantly she struck coiled an swallowed the rat down. Hopefully she continues this as i have a low white pied male for her next season.

Grats I thought my little guys 3 months was bad Great looking girl BTW :D

My Pied does the same thing. She's coil and then leave it... I figured out what worked for her. I' wiggle the rat after she coiled for quite some time, then cover her bin with a towel, turn off the light and do not enter the room for a few hours LOL.

I love her spots!! That right there is my favorite bp on the planet!!! One day when I see the right one I will be adding a pied to my man Cave hehd

Congrats, had one similar. Now he is one of my best eaters. Hope yours turns out the same.

UGGGGGH Pieds and their picky eating!!
My het. Pied female is such a picky brat. Will only eat live or fresh killed. SOMETIMES.
Our het. Albino female would do the strike, "kill", and abort mission thing too. ALL THE FREAKING TIME. No idea why she stopped doing it, she got over her silly feeding habit and she's a monster now, going to drop eggs this season actually. I try not to let picky feeders stress me out; they'll change their minds eventually.

The weird thing is shes in a rack that is dark 24\7(racks in a walk in closet) she has a gone threw hide after hide,a few different substrates an i literlly dont handle her unless im cleaning her tub out which when she wasnt eating was only once a week. so you know she was a pain in the but. haha

at first i didnt like them they reminded me of huge mites but they have since grown on me. I like the black spots on the pieds but not the bananas.

thank you the male is another kind of problem haha he eats 1-2 rats a week an is the second slowest grower. I thought for sure hed be breeding this year but nope had to take a gamble with a het pied\het albino male x my 100 percent het pied female. I almost gave up on the dream of producing my own pieds haha

That's weird. I keep my Pied in a rack in the closet as well and she still doesn't eat unless I cover her tub. I literally have to wrap it all around and leave the room.
I swear they do this just to make us mad. :P
-
she is the only snake in that rack well actually come to think of it shes the only snake i own that does not want to eat haha hopefully thats changed now.
