Wow...I thought it was eating it by paying almost $4 for Premium! (car can't take regular since it has a supercharger). Yikes.

Wow! I own a Blazer, but only drive it when I have to. Other wise I cycle everywhere I need to go. I even have panniers for grocery shopping.

Guess all those predictions about $5 a gallon gas are gonna' come true sooner rather than later.

The prices aren't pretty, and steadily going up. No fun. Topic reminds me of this picture though

And don't get me started on boat fuel prices. It's INSANE!

Cheapest I saw yesterday was 4.19

My co-worker who was born in England always makes fun of us. I guess in the UK the gas is even more expensive XD. He always says "You guys whine too much about gas prices!" He said it would be $12 a gallon in US currency or something. I don't remember :D

    Mr. K.
Here in Serbia diesel is 5.76$. So with my monthly payment of 390$...... i think its not so bad, for now.

    Well.

    Using ( 1 gal(US Liq) = 3.78541 L )

Current UK prices are about £5.11 per gallon which comes to $8.12865 per gallon.

And there are 9 countries in Europe alone that pay more than that.

We are fortunate. Here in St. Louis, we are only paying $3.53 a gallon for regular.

Poor Derek with $8 a gallon! I guess I don't have much to complain about.

You'd weep even more when you remembered how much gas was in January 2009. (Hint - under $2 a gallon).

It's right around $4.39 right now where I am. My gas light came on yesterday and I can only afford $20 in gas until my next paycheck if I still want to eat. haha! My snake eats better than I do, and her meals probably cost more than mine.

Well, to be more specific - the national average for a gallon of gas on January 20th, 2009 was $1.78. Just food for thought.

lol With it being 3.51 a gallon were I am at in Delaware and I got 2 vechiles and a fixed income ( no over time for me ) I dread starting any grass cutting like I done in the years past for some of the eldery ( and my exercise) this year. I got to drive about 100 miles one way t ocut my mothers and grandmothers now and in the truck it takes about 2/3 a tanks (of 21 gallons)
I remember spending 20 bucks to fill up my first truck (from dead empty cause we ran it dry while it sat after my grandfather first past away )and had enough to get my lunch and a magazine back in 2000 and I had put premium in the truck and it was 16 gallon tank lol.. I hate the being disable ( not like I can work for some over time to cover any fuel expenses ) the grass cutting bearly cover cost before and now it will be a losing battle.

3.78 here, but with a 10g tank and 38mpg, i don't do too bad, now if i could get a local job, I'd be set.
As it is, I do 536miles a week for work

I have AWD and manage to get 23 or so city and 30 highway. Not too bad. I know from experience that it is good in 12+ inches of snow as well.

Oh my gosh....I'm glad we aren't that high yet. Pretty soon I'm going to have to rethink making more money by driving 20 miles to work every day. I might make more working for minimum wage in town if I don't have to pay for gas!!! :tears:

Ya i know plus everyone says it all about having good tires too lol. I would love to downsize a little bit but right now i dont really have the time to lol. I'll probably stick it out for awhile. I would love to get something like a honda element! Those are AWD and only a 4 cyl. Plus the amount of cargo space in the back is unreal!

Yeah mine is 4x4 too and my transfer case is busted so I think I'm losing a lot of gas to drag from that thing...

But I'm going to get a new one with my tax return! I'm so excited haha

Cheapest around my part of NY is $3.87....however I get crappy gas milage with my versa on regular so I paid $4.25 per gallon on premium Thursday. Luckily I get a $50 gas card every month from work which covered some of it. My little 13 gallon tank don't go far....even with 38mpg highway. I miss my volvo with its beastly 18 gallon tank. I don't remember gas ever being below $3 and that's sad with me being 20.

About a week ago our gas shot up to $4.99 for a day... everyone panicked a d filled.up.. What happens? It drops to 3.99... its pathetic, if it.cost.so much then why is there a 20-50 cent difference?!?! It makes no sense... so now at $3.80 working 40 hours a week at 8.50 I pay ay least 80 in gas... ridiculous... especially when I drove the truck.. the 1998 Dodge ram gets 7 I repeat 7 MPG city if I'm lucky And maybe 12 highway... danger snowplow and liftkit. >_<

To this rant, it is ridiculous, they're playing us from.money.. you're profit doesn't news to be 100 times What You pay... the question is, how far will we go, and how much money will they suck from us before something is done. :/

This is what my gas station put up on all their pumps...

For some reason I find it hard to believe that they only make $1 per 50 gallons...

Actually this is probably pretty close to truth. They make most of their money through the convenience items like drinks, food, candy, smokes, etc.

If I lived in the city I would be looking into getting a bicycle. These gas prices are sickening.
