So this is my newest Netflix addiction. My wife and I watch 3 or more episodes a night. We are about 80 episodes in. The series has 167 I think. I used to watch it on Toonami back in the day but it started to come one at like 1am Sunday and I lost track of it. I guess because it started getting to bloody. Or because Miroku showed up and he's the biggest perv in anime.

The only bad thing is that it's the Japanese dub with English subtitles. Well I guess it's kind of good because I have relearned how to watch shows with subtitles because of this. A long time ago, I saw the entire DB, DBZ and DBGT series this way long before they aired in the US with English dub.

Anyways, if you like anime this is a classic. Certainly one of the top 10 of all time.

Heck, my wife isn't an anime fan at all and she loves it.

I used to watch it back when there were two episodes on at 11 and 11:30 every saturday lol about 7-8 years ago when there was no adult swim on friday nights. I have seen the entire episodes series I own every movie and several paintings of InuYasha, Kigome and Shippo on my wall that I have done oh and Kilala :D I am a whiz on Inuyasha lol best anime series I have ever watched. I also got tired of netflix only have them with english subbed they need english dubbed but I stopped at 132 on the third round of watching the series :)

Yep, I remember that show. Watched it on adult swim until they decided to play the same 5 episodes over and over again. D<
And after the 167 episodes there's a 23 episode "final" series that finishes it up. The last episode in that is so funny.

And what's so wrong with Japanese with English subtitles? That's how I prefer to watch mine. :D

I used to watch it almost religiously when I was in middle school, my older brother bought most of the DVD's as they were released. (He stopped once he graduated high school, either because he could torrent them or what, I don't know) I remember when the first movie came out, I pre-ordered it for my brother for Christmas and was counting down the days on my (ironically Inuyasha) calendar for it to come out!

I gave up trying to catch up on the anime though, and just read the manga. I dunno, I like the manga more but "The Final Act" arc I liked watching. It's still one of my top favorites of all time! :)

PS. While I usually prefer Jap w/ Eng subs, I actually like the English dub of Inuyasha. Maybe because I had a crush on Richard Cox (Inuyasha's voice actor, lol). It's the same thing with Trigun and FLCL, I prefer those in English too.

So do "the final act" episodes come after the original 167 episodes??

And yeah, I really like the actor's voice in the U.S. version too ;).

Yes, they released them after fans went crazy over the "unresolved" ending to the original series, especially when the manga kept going. :P

Very cool!!! The Japanese version is on hulu :D. Amazon has "Season 7" for sale with English language but it didn't say if it was the final act...

My friends made fun of me for watching Inuyasha back in high school, they said it was a girls anime, but whatever I like it. Right now I'm watching Berserk which is awesome 90's anime, but only ran for one season, which is frustrating because the very last episode is when things really get insane. Thankfully it was a well established manga first so the story goes on.
