New Breeder Seeking Advice

So i have amassed several ball pythons in the last two years and now i am thinking about trying to breed this season. I have started pairing up some of my ball pythons already. But i want to invest in a higher end morph (not too high :) ) to help diversify my collection. Another issue i have is that i have two females, one that i rescued and one that i received from a friend for free. The issue is that both the females look like they might be morphs. My current collection includes: 0.1 Normal with genetic spider-like pattern, 0.1 Normal, 1.0 pastel, 1.0 super pastel, 1.0 cinny. Just wondering what morph you think i should invest in. Any advice will help. Also i can post some pics if you think it would help!

You could go with mojave, pinstripe, lesser, het red axanthic, yellowbelly, some others, ive been up for about 36 hours so I cant think too much right now lol

Lol your totally fine! Like i said any advice helps. I just want to find a morph that can enhance the offspring that would be produced with a crossing of one of the balls i already have. Also male or female would help too :)

I'm curious what a genetic spider-like pattern is if its not actually the spider morph....do you mean a banded reduced pattern or like a woma?

As for morphs that might be good for you I'd think anything from the BEL complex, including fires, since you have that male super pastel, anything he's paired with will at least have pastel in it. Fireflys are always nice, but also a nice lemonblast or bumble bee would be a nice small step up thats not too 'high end', you would have much better chances of making killer bees and super blasts.Enchis are nice too. From a breeding stand point having a regular pastel male and then a super pastel male is kind of redundant so you could use a couple of morph females.

Thanks for the advice i appreciate it! The spider like pattern is because the previous owner had bred her before and she looks like a spider but was sold as a normal but when my friend bred her, her offspring had inherited the pattern. I will post pics and you can tell me what you think. And its hard for me to decide with the pastels because the super is awesome and has awesome colors but the pastel has some sweet colors and patterns so i guess i was just hoping to breed them out and see what they produce.

Post pics of the females you're unsure of. As for what you're working with and what to invest in, there are so many ways to go. If you have a nice super pastel male, I'd definitely sell the pastel male to put towards a different purchase. What price range are you looking at as far as your "higher end"? So many things you can do, but the specifics of your situation would be helpful.

You need more females for sure. I would pick up a nice 2 gene female. maybe a Bee, Spinner, Lemon Blast, etc. I think that would open up your options for future projects.

Totally agree :).

And if you can, post pictures of your normal girls like others said. It will help us give you the best advice :). For instance, if your normals are dark then I'd recommend a dark morph, or if they are light, then I'd recommend a light morph.

I don't see one that looks like a spider. The one in your photos has a slightly reduced pattern, I guess. What does she weigh? Are those recent photos?

As for what you should invest in....Well, given what you have now, maybe a spider, or a pinstripe. You can't go wrong with pied, and an albino project always goes well with cinnamon.

Yeah, the first two pics are one female and the rest are the one that i was told had a spider pattern. Like i said im very new to this so everything i know is pretty much speculation. The Female in the first two is 1700 grams and the other Female is 1300. Both have locked up with my cinny and the one in the last four pics has locked with my super pastel.

Hopefully with the pics i posted of my females, you can get what im working with :)
