    Boa soaking.
I come from a ball background and got a baby in a deal with a rack. She's great! Eating well and such. She's bit me once which was my fault for holding her in blue. She's been soaking a bit. In balls this can mean a problem, but I've read boas just like to sometimes. I'm wondering if I should be watching of problems or she's just being a boa. Her husbandry I good and I handle her everyday an haven't seen any mites so I'm jus wondering if she's normal. Thanks.

Could be normal. Could be mites. Could be too warm. I'd double check temps and keep an eye out for mites.

I don't know if anyone cares but the update on here is that yes she did in fact have mites. I have been diligently soaking her and picked up some mite off. I know the stuff is crap but I needed something. I'm going I try and find some reptile relief around where I live. I'm hesitant to use Pam cause if the toxicity of the fumes but if worse comes to worse I will get some. I seem to have the problem under control for now anyways.

Pam works awesome along with reptile reliefe. LLL reptiles has a pretty good method that hasnt let me down thus far.

So I've been cleaning/soaking them diligently for a week or so and it has helped a lot. Instead of waiting for Pam I went with a more available solution and grabbed some nix. Sprayed it all over the place and I hope this will be the end of the mites. I didn't see many when I was spraying. Maby like 2. So hope it all goes well for me and my mite war.

I don't have much experience with mites but I haven't seen one since I sprayed the nix in. First I did a crazy cleaning of the snakes with mites. Then I sprayed the tub and the hole for the tub in the rack with nix. Then I sprayed the snakes. For the other snakes in the rack without mites I jus sprayed in their tubs and the snake an in the tub slot. I also sprayed the outside of the rack. How long would you say you have to wait to know if you officially don't have mites anymore?

Keep an eye on them for the next few days. I'd give them another spray 4 or 5 days after the first. After the first initial spray I did, I noticed my boa stopped soaking and found some dead mites on the substrate. So like I said keep an eye on them and give them another dose in a few days.

So does nix. I'm very happy so far on its effectiveness. We will do another spray in a few days as a precaution then I hope all will be over.
