    Valentine's Day Gift Question
Ok, so I've been dating a woman for two weeks; a couple of dinners, and a couple of movies, and some kissy face on my living room floor. Nothing more serious than that up to his point.

What the heck do I get her for Valentine's Day?

When I was married or in serious relationships this was always a no-brainer (I actually bought one GF a Mojo BP one year...named him Cupid), but I'm covering new ground with my current situation.

    Let's hear it, what's a proper gift?

This is a tough one! I'd play it safe and just do a card and some of her favorite candies, maybe even a romantic dinner. You don't want to come off as *that* guy that got a girl a very expensive gift after only 2 weeks of dating.

If I was seeing someone for a few weeks and it was v day, I would be expecting something sweet and simple, like flowers and chocolates. Maybe a nice dinner too. I hope this helps :)

I would say pink roses or some other bouquet of flowers...red roses might be a little much at this stage in the game. Dinner would also be good, take her to her favorite place. I'm cooking my girlfriend dinner, got her roses and I made a flick book of a stick figure dragging out an "I" and then throwing a heart in the middle, and then he pushes a "U" from the other side so he forms an I "heart" U.....I thought it was kinda cool lol.

I say skip the roses and go with gerber daisies instead. A cute card (ones for kids are perfect because they arent all sappy) and a nice dinner.

    sent from my EVO

Maybe haha. I also got a bunch of reeses pieces and lemon heads and I'm going to make a trail to her car and then have a big heart on her car hood made out of red m&m's or something. I think valentines was made up by a woman just to get another diamond necklace or something lol. But my girlfiend is making dinner for me so I guess its an even trade. She should feel lucky I'm romantic like that!

Perfect, so what should we do?

    EDIT: Right... a useful post....

Do a cool date with some simple cliche gift. If you were slick you could have figured out what kind of chocolate she likes and just get her that. Why get a whole box of mix and match nonsense when maybe she only likes dark chocolate with nothing added? Make the date the gift.

I don't know any girl who doesn't love a pedicure. Star gazer lillies smell AMAZING. Dinner along with one of these? Good luck!

Lol, he says we shouldn't need one day a year to show that we love eachother, and we should do it every day of the year. He's pretty much held up on his side of that so I guess I can't really complain lol.

Thanks to all of you for your suggestions. I think I'll give her a heart shaped box and a single rose. Not too much, not too little :)

Walked out to my car this morning and found a Valentine's Day card under my windshield wipper...

    1) I can't believe she beat me to it...

    2) Takes the pressure off about giving her something or not

    3) Now I know a rose and box of chocolate won't be going overboard

I love it when stuff works its self out like that! :)
