Keep handling him on a regular basis. Even my meanest bp's calmed down with regular handling.

    Do he have proper temperatures/humidity/hides?

if everything is good then with time he should settle down. there will always be a few angry snakes but they are rare.

Sounds just like my 2011 lesser male. if i don't get him immediately out of his tub, he makes the menacing S shape and gives me a real stink eye:mad:

My female albino and female pastel were both the same way when I got them. I just kept handling them and eventually they calmed down. They haven't struck at me in months now but they got me several times each in the beginning. I just looked at it as it was better to get the bites out of the way while they were babies than wait until they were bigger lol.

When it comes to young BPs I never like to say never. As he grows in size he may naturally calm down.

Having said that, some are just evil and will always keep you on your toes. These animals really do have individual personalities.

My '11 0.1 Fire is the same way.. Even using the technique in that youtube video ( which I saw a while back ), even when I she 'loosens' up, she will still strike at me..haha.. Finally just let her hit my wide open palm about 10 ish times till she finally went into the flight mode. Seems to be working.. She doesn't seem to strike at me for a week or two after I do that.. Still gives me the 'S' and an evil eye though..haha
