Look what followed me home....
I spent a few hours wondering around my local reptile show and came across this great little guy. He is a Central American Motley that I purchased from Robert McPhee. I just had to bring him home.

So far he seems to be extremely calm, and very curious. Now to just let him settle in a bit. Thanks for looking....

OMG! Were you at Taylor too???? I was there! What a great looking little motley you found! I have to share - I had a wee boa follow me home today too! I picked up a '10 Argentine male het for T+ from Tim Koppenhoffer. He's awesome - but I'll have to post some pics after he settles in a bit. My camara's batteries were dead when we got home so he went in his enclosure and the camara's charging. I'll take some pics and introduce him next weekend. I love your little guy - mine is from a motley litter and has 3 T+ albino motley siblings! Congrats! ;)

LOL... I just pm'ed you the same thing about being at the show. I loved some of Tim's boa's. If I wouldn't have been looking for a male central american I would have picked something up from him. L. West was there also. I spent some time chatting with her, and now she has the boa bug....lol
Thanks everyone for the comments. I really love his guy. The pic's don't do him justice in any way shape or form. He has such an awesome color to him in person....
Re: Look what followed me home....
Yeah, I've got the boa bug. I am emailing with Tim from SpecialKReptiles right now - hoping to pick up that female Hypo I was holding at the show.
I just hope she is still available.

Any word yet? I have gotten 3 boas from Tim now. You won't find a better guy to work with! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Edit: Tim may still be traveling and not able to reply to an email just yet. If you want, pm me and I'll pass along his phone number. :gi:

Yep - I'm meeting Tim on Saturday to pickup my new female hypo boa, she is absolutely gorgeous.
I'm a little nervous about getting a boa - I sure hope she keeps a good attitude lol.
I sure hope I enjoy the boas like everyone claims

You will..... As long as you handle her on a regular basis she should be fine. Don't worry if you decide that you can't keep her for what ever reason I'll take that awesome girl off your hands. I would love to have her added to my collection....lol
Re: Look what followed me home....
Be careful what you wish for - lol
You came close to getting my whole collection on Saturday - that spin out scared me pretty bad. I had my car towed to a garage but they said there was no damage - that was a major relief

LOL... I hope that you get to hold on to your collection for a very long time. I know how much you care for you animals. Now my question is why weren't you being more careful after you just got on you son for not being careful....jk I am sure glad that nothing happened to you or your car..... Like I said though. If you decide boa's aren't right for you just let me know, and I will make sure that she gets a great home....:D
Re: Look what followed me home....
Yeah I was going faster than I should have been - lesson learned.

I'm so happy for you! You are going to LOVE having a boa! And Tim's are all really nice - my Peaches came from him (actually so did all 3 of my boas, lol) and she is the sweetest, gentlest, dearest little snake ever. And Jasper is a perfect gentleman.
Mojo is something else, lol. He's actually been really great, but today was feeding day for the first time with him and, well, wow. Argentines can be a bit huffy and he sure was. He got his rat and after he constricted it, as I put the lid back on his enclosure, he hiked his head up and hhhhiiiiiisssssssed!! Felt like it lasted a full 5 minutes, lol. He has a big mouth....
He hissed again when I checked on him a while later. Mouthy little snot... :D
Don't mean to scare you off with that story, I just thought it was pretty funny and worth sharing. All 3 of my guys are really sweet - even Mojo. He's just vocal, lol. But Tim tries to produce nice temperaments - all his adults are handled regularly and all the babies are really great. You won't be sorry! Can't wait to see pics!
Oh, and glad you're ok from you're spin-out. Figures we'd have super weather all winter and the one day we want to do the reptile expo thing the weather would suck...... :P
Re: Look what followed me home....
I know this is a really old post but I too go to the taylor show every month so anyone that wants to meet/talk up at the show feel free to let me know. I'm going this Saturday.
