Something I've wanted to see since 2006
In 2006 I made my first trip to EbN and Sean really blew my mind with a morph called a Calico..it to me was more awesome than a pied or any of the combo's he had at the time.
Well tonight as a breeder I had a 6 year goal come true..
Feast you eye's on this..

After 6 years of working and breeding I finally get to see a calico female in my racks locking with a male.. I just had to sit and stare for a few..now if only God will bless me with 1.1 Calider's or 2.0 caliders I'll be even more happy than you could imigane.

Do you mind me asking why it took 6 years?
We made the decision when we started the business never to operate a debt based business so no animal we have or equipment or building is ever charged. So because of that some years the animal purchase budget is lighter due to what we've hatched and sold.
In 2006 Calico females were 10-12K
So when I got that girl early in 2010 she was a mid 2009.
So with the cost and no debt it takes time to do it all strickly cash in hand business..

Sean's a great guy and become a good friend over the years. I've got more than my fair share of his snakes eating my rat's in the racks..That spider in this pic is one I bought from him on that trip back in 2006..back when male spiders were still 1K and females weren't for sale

Oh sorry, I thought you meant you bought her and it took 6 years for her to be able to breed.

This is a very good point and in my opinion the right way to do this. I do the same thing. I see far too many people that over reach and as soon as they have a cash shortfall they have to start selling stuff off. Feels a lot better looking at all the animals and equipment and knowing it is 100% paid for. Congrats on the pairing. My sugar is breeding for the first time this year as well.
