Outback Reptiles, need reviews and info.

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to see if anyone here has done any business with Josh at Outback Reptiles. I'm thinking about buying a few new ball pythons from them and want to just get some information. Any information is helpful, both good or bad.

Josh is great to deal with. I have spent thousands of dollars with him and have known the guys at outback since 2002. Great guys to deal with

We bought a hatchling lesser pastel from them at the NOVA expo and are incredibly happy with her and were happy with them. She's our best eater and is growing like a weed.

I haven't bought from them yet, but plan too. I have heard nothing but good from Josh at outback. Had a good convo with him at Hamburg.

He is Importer/Flipper/Breeder....
Generally ppl have positive experience with them.. I bought 2 snakes from them... they keep snake for me over a month (I payed for it of course) just so i can pick up it on Show instead have it Shipped...

They have variety of snakes normally hard to get from other places because they Import by themself...

My Overall experience was Good so far and i know that I for Sure gonna buy few more snakes from them as soon as African Imports will show Up :gj:

I have done a few dealings with Outback, and I won't buy from them again, unless it is atleast a juvie sized animal. Everything that I have bought from them that was hatchling size or slightly larger has died on me.

Buying from them is a gamble. I heard both really good and really bad things from them. My personal buying experience was awful and would never do business with them again. I know lots of others who feel the same way. Josh is a decent guy and all but that doesn't mean I'd want to buy something from him.

I have purchased from them twice and had good experiences both times. Both ball pythons I bought from them were beautiful healthy hatchlings that ate frozen / thawed prey for me right away, grew well and thrived. Josh also had good customer service, and I think I would definitely purchase from them again if they had what I was looking for.

I got my Spider girl from him. I am very pleased with her.

They do a good job over there.

Ive purchased two animals from them. Spider Het Albino and a Ghost Blk pastel.

And my son works over there on his none class days from college. :)

Josh is a good guy so is the rest of the team over there.

Your best bet is to search the BOI on Fauna. I bought from them and to say the very least, I will never spend a hard earned dollar of mine on their animals. I had 2 of the 3 snakes I bought from them come down sick with RI. All they wantd to do to render the situation was offer discounts on future purchases. Anybody that knows me, knows I have very clean and healthy animals. That RI didn't come from collection and definitely didn't travel from one room to another. Good luck and remember, If your animal comes down sick they will not follow the industry standard of replacing the animal(at least they didn't for me).

I bought my male Albino Spider at Hamburg from Outback Reptiles (based out of Virginia, I believe it's the same place you're refering to. Thought his name was Ian?)

My spider is doing great, no issues. I got a good deal. They have really nice animals.

The only bad thing I heard from my friend that he didnt like about them was they buy cheap and sell cheaper than the compitition. My friend didn't like that they were undercutting everyone elses prices.

I would definately buy from them again, and most likely will be buying another snake at Hamburg on Feb 25th
