^that made my heart sink though...how can people be so judgmental?

my states not... a surounding county just passed that pit bull owners must have bite insurance ($100,000 dollars worth), and dogs being kept outside must be in fence with a top and a bottom to it.
whats this world coming to?????

Yes it's about time . Just wish people would open their eyes. There are more bites and attacks from other breeds then the bully breeds. It's just sad.
I've had people come up and pet Kylie and say she's so well behaved and so sweet and then ask what is she... I say she's an American Pit Bull Terrier while she's still licking and sitting pretty. But they still snatch their hands back and act like its a wild lion. Just sad.

This is good news. So many ignorant and uneducated people are against pits. Reading some of the comments in the link are just so stupid.

Some guy said something along the lines of, 'some litters are born 'hot' meaning they kill each others littermates, but most dogs are born 'cool'".

Uh, that dog is not an APBT. I think you'd have to put at least two of mine together to get that size, pit bulls are not giant headed 100 pound beasts. That looks like an American Bully.

LOL news to me and thanks for the info. I looked it up and an American Bully is practically a mutt cross between an APBT and a Staffordishire. My mistake, but you have to admit, he's still got a cute face even if he is only 50% Pit.

most people DONT know what a true pit bull is,,, they think if it has a fat head, and a bi colored body that its a pit... id be willing to bet that over 1/2 of the "pit bull bites" dont come from pits... im not pointing fingers at YOU, just trying to make a point.

Yup! Proud to say that I picked #16 on my first try. :3

I've owned a pit before (his name was Buster) but now I'm questioning if he was really a pit or not! It was so long ago and I don't have any pics of him but he was a huge love bug (and he looked most like #16 IMO). Either way I miss him. :/

I have to admit, a couple dogs in the link Spooky posted I didn't know. We did something like this at a dog fair with our Am Staff....put him in the ring with a UKC American Pit bull terrier, Staffy Bull, Dogo, Bull Terrier and a couple other dogs, then had the audience do the 'pick out the pit bull' drill. Most people picked our Am Staff and the Dogo because they had cropped ears and the APBT did not, it was interesting. ;)
