Congrats. I'm having a hard time seeing the enchi in that though. I thought enchi would have cleaned it up more.

Note, I'm not questioning that it is what it is, just that I expected it to be less "dirty" I guess?

This is exactly what I was thinking o_O? The enchi bee should probably be more yellow if anything since the enchi also has some yellow coloration :weirdface

The Head pattern is also nothing like that of a spider enchi

I'm not trying to spoil anyone's excitement here, but I too am trying to find some enchi in that bee >_O

Actually for me that head pattern says it all. There's enchi in there.

The major difference between Enchi Bee's and Bee's is the pattern looks like it is dripping down the sides. The Spider and Pastel is fighting the Enchi pattern and color a bit. Understandably, it can be hard to spot. The second difference is that while most Bees get uglier as they age, that Bee should get better and better looking because of the Enchi gene. Anyone that has seen hatchling Enchis and then the same snakes at 500g knows what I'm talking about ;) It should be much easier to spot when that snakes ages. The pastel used looks a little dirty but some of that could be from the speckling some Enchis have. Nice pickup shorty! Can't wait to see him at 500g.

I've seen bees with the dripping down pattern opposed to the side pattern going down to the belly :weirdface

I'm not convinced :P. but it doesn't matter, as long as the buyer is happy with it :gj:. i hope he gets some awesome enchi combos with this!

    Congrats on the pick up!

I agree, it's weird to see an enchi bee that is so dirty. Some of the enchi bees are easy to pick out and others are questionable. I hope you get some enchis out of him!

I thought this was shortys thread but regardless I bet that snake looks a lot better now. Enchis tend to improve if they are nice ones. I didn't say anything about Enchi's being ugly.

Lol....it's all good bro! People will question everything. It happens, I see some things that make me think Enchi & others that don't! But, guess once I breed him we will all know! I think him being a 3 gene changes the look from a Enchi x Spider to a Enchi x Pastel x Spider. It's all about taking a man for his word! Hope he is what he is said to be!

I'm sure he's an enchi bee. You got him from a reputable breeder, after all. Can't wait to see him when he's bigger. :)

Hey guys, i just wanted to take this opportunity to thank shorty again for the purchase and to help you guys out with the enchi thang. The enchi is a really frustrating gene from the standpoint that in some combos it makes a HUGE difference, while in others it is almost barely noticable. Kind of like the woma or yellow belly really. Alot of breeders are keeping animals and just raising them up for breeders becasue they cant be 100% sure that they are or are not enchis and dont want to sell one as something it is not.

If you put this animal in this thread side by side with a bumble bee you will see many differences, mainly in the head, sides and belly. And for some reason which bummed me out a little, the enchi bee triple is dirty compared to nice bee doubles. Just the way it is sometimes.

Why are mojave spider pastels much cleaner and brighter than pastel spiders when the mojave is so dark? Sometimes these things just do not go the logical direction you hope they will. The boy in this thread was produced from a male enchi bee x a multi visual female. We could tell at birth what it was based on its siblings and father and as always I garentee to the buyer that the animal is as represented.

I hope that helps you guys. Thanks for all the kind words. E
