$3,000 to blow... What should I get??

Hey all its tax time and after a years worth of rent and bills being paid in advance I am going to have around $3k to spend... Now looking at my signature I know I need atlease 1 breeder sized female... If you had my collection and the money what would you get?

Well, since people will ask. What do you want? Recessive, or dominant? A Super Pastel female, would go good with that cinnamon. A Pinstripe would be good, You also have a het pied, so a pied? So many options... So many snakes... So little money. :(

I'm confused about the first snake you have listed in your signature. Is it a TSK Axanthic that you bought from Graziani?

Well i'm going to breed my cinny to my het pied, so I will hopfully be covered on my wishlist for a pewter... I know a pied is in order, I found a med white male for $750 already, he's pretty much bought without tapping the $3k. Pretty much as long as its not a spider I'm interested...lol

Are you open to larger constrictors or do you want to stay with bp's? If, your interested in snakes that get larger than 5'? I might be able to help you out.

I have been told he looks to be a Graziani Axanthic which Tsk first produced but to be honest he looks to be yellowbelly and or something elce... Its a real pain in the rear with him...lol... Just like my pastel het pied has been called a poss special so in all honesty all I know 100% is my female is 100%het pied and my cinny fader w/ genetic black back...

That leaves a MILLION posibilties! lol

I personally want to breed a Pastel to a Super Pastel.. OR maybe a Super to a Super. Even if I don't sell them I love them. Remember everyone has there opinions. :P

You could probably swing a few adult females like a Super Pastel, or a Butter/ Lesser.

Beyond that I don't know. I'm still learning myself but hey! Every opinion can help :)

with $3k I'd go for a black pastel hypo male and phantom het hypo female.

I would love to own a larger snake but my wife is not to fond of them. She is just now starting to fall in love with the bps we own. Thanks though...

Citrus Pastel to go with the Cinny.

With 3,000 i would buy 2 bad ass morphs.. a bumblebee male and a lesser.. just cause thats 2 snakes i make the money.. i would then spend the rest on normal females.. maybe buy a mojave female or a super pastel female if i had the money lol

That's cool I can respect that. Well, in that case I'm in your shoes too. Except, I know what I want to buy sorda,lol. I am deciding between a pastel clown male and a female pastel het clown? Or, I'm going to take the leap and buy a beautiful female killer clown and get her up to breeding size. And , buy a male then to make more killer clowns or killer something?
I have a post currently all about my killer clown pursuits. I would suggest adding a clown to your collection.

Thanks everyone for the opinions so far... I'm thinking strongly about getting a citrus pastel so if the odd gods are with me I can get some sweet pewters if I breed to my cinny... I guess my biggest issue is even though I have owned bps for a long time this will be my first year to breed. I dont want to get super expencive animals and not be able to breed them, or worse, breed them and screw something up. In all honesty I may just find some breeder sized females, a breeder pied male and invest the rest in a new rack and incubater... But keep the ideas coming cuz i'm sure i'll change my mind more times underware when it comes to this...lol

since your already getting a pied, i gues i'd go with a pastel het axanthic, or lesser het axanthic female, then probably a clown male, and maybe a caramel female

I suggest getting a blood python or short tailed python whenever you decide to get something bigger. Females get up to 6' and males 5'. I own 2, they have a veracious appetite and are as docile as can be. Although it takes longer before they can breed as compared to bp's.

Hope you find some nice new morphs to buy with that $3k. Is an incubator part of that $3k?

I already have am incubator but its kinda old, so I was thinkin bout updating it and still getting a few bps to dink with... I really like the citrus pewter fader idea posted above.... Thinkin that might be my winner...lol

Pretty much you need to decide what you want to produce, and get either that animal straight out, or the morphs that will allow you to create that animal.

It was rather easy for me to make this decision (just need the $$ part now, lol) because I know what I want to produce. I love black widows, BELs, and kingpins. So I'll get a male Queen Bee along with 3 females - black pastel, lesser, and pinstripe - and go from there.

I also think that citrus pewter fader would be awesome.... With what you have, I'd look at that citrus pastel idea plus maybe a female axanthic or het. A male lesser would also pair nicely with your pastel het pied or that possible citrus pastel in the future too. Just a thought!

Ok yall i've decided to get a citrus pastel female, and a male med white piebald. I need help locating these animals now. I have checked Ralph Davis and David Green. My next step is Brian at BHB...

Pick up an adult female het pied, and a young pied male. ;)

If I had that much to spend I'd buy a male lavender albino and breed it to a few females with at least two of those females being morphs if you have some big enough. They are holding value and you'd get your money back and then some in just one season of say, lesser het lav or anything het lav really. Keep some females to breed back to that male lav and you'd make some beautiful babies.

Check with Mike Bell or Amir for the Citrus

IMO Desert is a dead end morph until proven otherwise.

Look, I do not want to hijack his thread with the Desert argument. I said in my opinion. It is way too much of a gamble on a female that likely will not breed, unless there has been breaking news in that arena.

And IMO the morph does not fit in as well with his existing stock as the other recommendations.

I didnt say desert female. I was talking desert male. Having over 35 known combos the desert would work well in a number of ways. For 3k you could get a desert male and an enchi female. He already has a pastel. Thetes alot of room for bang for the buck there. I agree with you on the desert females though

Well....I just spend around that. I got a high white pied male, enchi bumble bee male, pastel ghost female, super pastel female and lesser female! Just what I did with that amount! LOL! It all depends on what you want to make in the future!!! I already had a few single gene females. So, I got a male I wanted...Pied and a male power house!
