Re: Need a large shedding.
Thanks for the links Aaron, I'll check into them
@heathers*bps- That would be great. It would have to be large enogh to cover just the front of the guitar body. about (12"W x 30"L). As you can see in the pic, the belly runs up the middle. Wow 16-17 ft. I'm sure a shed from a burmese that large would be enough. And, a burmese has such lovely pattern.
I figured it wouldn't be very hard to mail one in a large envelope. PM me if anyone would be willing to take the time to help me out.
This time , I won't just decoupage it, I'll crystal cast it onto the guitar so that it looks like it is embedded in a clear finish. Like a plaque.
Re: Need a large shedding.
Make sure you post a pic when you do it.

LGray23 - Thanks nonetheless
heathers*bps - Thank you soooo much. I'll be looking forward to hearing from you and yep, I 'll keep my options open for sure.

Being a bassist I do agree...I want to see this..lol
To the OP, I know http://www.jkrgear.com/gear.php?cat=...0Gear&id=00018 works with sheds from reptiles. You could ask them. I personally love seeing the sheds of Gaboon vipers. One of my friends use to have a shed he got while down in Florida..lol
But if Heather can't help you or none of them can I dun know any more. I do know BHB keeps SOME large sheds, so Brian would be a good bet.
Re: Need a large shedding.
@ The Serpent Merchant, and Zeion97, Basically what I want to do is strip down my guitar, paint it a flat black, glue the shed over the body with the belly right up the center. I did it once but as you can see in the picture, I neglected to put a scratch-proof finish on it. From years of playing much of the shed wore off. This time I plan to use a Mod-Podge coat like what is used on award plaques and wood bar tops so it appears to be "under glass".
The shed will let the black base color thru and contrast between the semi-transparent shed and color I think will make the guitar look like a snake that "morphed" into a guitar. Oh, and this is a vintage Kramer Pacer so afficionados will tell me I'm nuts.
Re: Need a large shedding.
If you Fang find anyone through here with one big enough, you might also check with your local zoo? See if they have any large snakes. Can't wait to see it. :)
