I will be making my annual trip over. I always enjoy this show and seem to find some very interesting stuff.

I'll be there as well. Probably Saturday and Sunday wondering around, making about a thousand laps... drooling... wishing... wondering... lol

There might be some people wanting to meet up after the show one day and talk about Texas and raising awareness for snakes. We're trying to see if we can get a decent number of people with a lot of ideas(or no ideas, you could help us expand the ideas we have or simply show up for support and to have a good time chatting with fellow herpers)

We are going to be talking about teaching at schools, camps, etc. (One person even mentioned getting together to help boyscouts earn their reptile merit badge in a way that lets them learn and become more aware of the good things about reptiles as well as just knowing which one is venomous!), and even the possibility of a herp 'event' that is educationally based--like an expo that is focused on non reptile people and isn't for selling reptiles, but instead has fun events and lots of people coming by to speak and teach about snakes. We all have connections we might not have even thought about who could help us out to get word out. I know someone who's mom even owns an advertising firm and who's dad runs political campains, and she is willing to help us really learn how to advertise ourselves in a positive way while reaching a lot of people! And as we get more concrete ideas we will really start to get somewhere.

If you haven't already, check out the facebook snake awareness day page!

Just think of how big this forum is. If each small group from each state got together and worked locally, while supporting each other nationally... We could really do a lot more to do some good for our animals. :)

Chad Brown is going for The Reptile Report, I can't make it, but I am looking forward to the Tinley Spring Summit for sure.

Just out of curiosity what is everyones' wish list for the show?

    I'm hoping I can find:
    1.0 Lesser
    Incubator
CB-70 rack (at least 3 tubs)
    0.1 Clown if it's a good deal
