What do you guys think of the "White Wedding"
I wanna start a breeding project, I have a male spider, & I always wanted a pied & I would love to give them a try. What do you guys think of this morph & where do you think the morph can be taken?

An all white/mostly white pied doesn't really appeal to me. I'd rather have a lucy if I was looking for a white snake. I like mid white pieds which is why I don't like spider pieds, but there are certainly people out there who like them.

I thought the white wedding was a lesser pied and that spider pied is a spied. Ralph Davis said that the white wedding is the whitest bp he has ever seen, even more white than BELs, so I'd say go for it. I think they are hot snakes.

It's my understanding that the White Wedding is an all white spied.

Either way its a solid white snake that's worth more than a BEL, so I'd go for it.:D

A white wedding is an all white spied. In terms of appearance, it looks like a BEL with a wobble. It's the genetics that make it worth more. It's all a matter of what you want to produce...

I say go for it! =P

what price would a white wedding grab compared to a BEL?

I don't remember specifically the price when I saw it at Hamburg but with a BEL being $1,000, it was significantly more ($5K plus)

If you like the project, go for it. It doesn't what others think; YOU have to take care of the animals, so why not care for something you enjoy and can appreciate?

I think there is still a ton of untapped potential with the Pied gene, even for combos that involve Spieds and Lesser Pieds.

I've always been a fan if the pied even before I ever thought of owning a BP, I was kinda thinking of not going for one cause i figured their popularity has dwindled but they are so beautiful I gotta go for it

I thought that's how it was too, guess I'm wrong.

Re: What do you guys think of the "White Wedding"
The white of a Pied doesn't fade, so a "White Wedding" will stay pure white (unlike many of the BEL's).

From a breeding perspective, it may be more of a "dead end" snake, but speaking for one that has limitted space and therefore has to limit collection size, a white wedding is one of my "goal snakes".

Between BELs and Pieds, pieds seem to have a much more pure white to them.

I personally don't mind high white pieds. But at the same time, I'm not interested in pied projects either.

In the end, it doesn't matter what we think. It matters what you think.
You should do what you like the best. It shouldn't matter if their popularity is going up or down either. Although I will admit that normal pieds are dropping in price fast. Pied combos seem to be holding their worth though.
