My sweet baby...
About two or three months ago I came home with my first crested gecko. She was a baby and very social. I took her out every other day after I fed her and she'd hop around on my hands. Last night, after feeding her, I went to take her out and found her dead. I don't know what happened, I'm so devastated. Two days before she was fine, no signs of distress or sickness yet she was dead last night. I feel like I did something wrong, I hope to God I didn't. I followed the caresheets and breeders to the T. RIP my sweet little baby :tears:

Sorry about the Cresty Leah. My wife has lost a Cresty, and a White Spot Gecko. It's tough, get another one though. I have 4 Cresties now amongst other lizards.

I'm kind of scared to get another one, if I did I was hoping to get one a little bigger. She was just so small and fragile, I don't know why she died :tears:

Again, I'm deeply sorry for your loss. Please don't let this horrible situation deter you from getting another. Normally they are an incredibly hardy species, but I've read on Pangea forums a few times that some of them just pass without any signs. :(

It's normal for all species. Sometimes they just weren't meant to be. I'm so sorry Leah it's never fun losing any. My only suggestions would be to go with a bit larger juvy next time. I wouldn't let it sway you though.

I'm sorry for your loss Leah.
I agree with the others that you should get another one and try again. As I'm sure you realized cresties are awesome and while I'm sorry your baby died you shouldn't let it stop you from trying again.

I am soooo sorry to hear that :( its never easy loosing something you love

Aww. I'm so sorry Leah.
I think it's even worse when you loose something so tiny, because you can't help but feel like it had to be your fault somehow.
Knowing you from the forums, I am positive you gave it the best possible care. Maybe it had a birth defect or something else you couldn't see, and that's what went wrong.
Do grieve for the little one, she deserves that, but please don't deny a different baby the chance to become one of your well-loved pets.

You're all so caring, and you have no idea how much your kind words mean to me. This is why I love this community and forum. :petting:

It's so hard loose the little buggers, after you bond with them, and love them. I think sometimes we feel helpless when the babies die for some reason. Very sorry for your loss. Please do get another though. There is some little guy out there who could use your love.
