Re: boston
You should definitely see the Holocaust Memorial and possibly even stop in Salem. I went on vacation to Salem a few years back and went to the Witch Museum and Pirate Museum. There is so much history in Salem. It is totally worth it to stop by and see all this.

Sorry, bad joke I guess. People in Boston can't say R's very well, at least that's what I gathered from my grandma growing up. They replace it with ah's and it always made me laugh a little inside when she did it. My own "sense" of humor I guess.

Re: boston
I got your joke. That's how they talk in Boston.

Yea lol i got your joke lol, you should go see a Patriots preseason game! I also think theres an aquarium there and the museum of science is supposed to be pretty good i think.

Re: boston
I've been living in and around Boston my whole life. There's a lot to do there. What kinds of things interest you?
-Take a Boston Harbor / Whale Watch cruise
-Go to the Museum of Fine Arts or the Museum of Science or Aquarium
-Take a Duck Tour!
Are you looking for more touristy stuff or just interested to see cool things in the city? Activities that cost money or are free?
-
123 on the Museum of science, The Aquarium, The Duck tour and Salem. If you go to Salem, look for Susannah Martin's headstone. :) She's my Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandmother :)
Also, something nobody has mentioned - Quincy Market. There's lots of yummy delicious food, cute little shops and such. Last time I was there, they had a bunch of street performers that were awesome. One guy was throwing and spinning fire!

Re: boston
Walk the Freedom trail, go to the Union Oyster House, and in late summer, catching a game at Fenway is an absolute must.

Re: boston
Quincy Market is cool. If you're looking for the Boston culture night life, go down to Fannueil Hall. It's a little pricey, but a great representation of the city I feel. It's walking distance from the Aquarium, so you can daytime the Aquarium and walk over to Fannueil for drinks or dinner.

+1 :gj:
My buddy owns a high end restaurant called Deuxave on Commonwealth Ave. It's expensive, but man is it worth it. :gj:

My girlfriend goes to school up in Boston so I've seen almost everything there. Here's a list of my favs.
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
- Pretty cool art museum, its a collection of a very rich woman's lifelong art collection. It's run by Harvard and they can't change anything in the place with approval from a "council", according to the woman's will.
The Aquarium
- If you like watching animals this is pretty cool to go to also, the fish tank they have in the middle of the place is huge and amazing.
Museum of Fine Arts
- Always a good choice, pretty close to the Gardner Museum as well
Quincy Market
- A lot of good choices for food
The Daily Catch
- If you see food(seafood) and like to eat it, I would check this place out, you could also walk through the Paul Revere House which is in the same neighborhood. It's small but full of history in a way.
Mike's City Diner
- Awesome food, REALLY cheap! Great for breakfast.
If you're still looking for places to stay, there are some really cool bed and breakfasts in Boston too.

Re: boston
What a great way to spend your honeymoon! You certainly need to experience Faneuil Hall! It is a great way to spend an afternoon with the street entertainment, rich Boston culture, and fun dining!

Re: boston
you could take a half hour drive and see plymouth rock, the mayflower, or a few more mintues drive and you could be in cape cod

That's where I went on my honeymoon! You have got to go see a game at Fenway park, go way before the game hang at the shops and bars it's a "wicked" good time!
Go to this restaurant called bleachers bar. It's built inside the outfield fence! The players come up and talk to you as you eat!

From what I remember when I went (like 3 years ago)
- the Aquarium is EXCELLENT! Prolly the best one I've ever seen in my life
- The Quincy Market is pretty cool... not your everyday mall
- A short trip to Cambridge doesn't hurt, I loved the younger atmosphere there, and of course, going to MIT was a priority to me, as an Engineering Student... loved it so much, I'm transferring next year or doing my Masters in a few years :'D
- The old Navy yard (can't remember the right name) is pretty cool as well, they have a cool museum
- Walk the Freedom trail... IMO, it's a Boston must
- Fenway Park, doesn't matter if you don't like them, it's pretty much history... Hell, I really hate baseball and I was impressed.
- The Natural History Museum is pretty good as well,
I know we did a lot of other stuff that we had a blast, but I honestly can't remember anything else :(
