OMG!!! My Spider survived the spin cycle
I just moved the end of December & around New Years my Spider BP went missing from his bin, I thought for sure he was stolen by the contractors. I searched everywhere & he was nowhere to be found. I gave up hope on em. Then last night my wife washed clothes & went to take the wet clothes out to put em in the dryer when she screamed "Oh God" she didn't wanna look at him, for a brief second I was extactic, then I realized he went through a complete wash cycle & braced myself for the worsehttp://img.tapatalk.com/425756e2-0619-3ad1.jpg. I grabbed em, he was so cold, but once we warmed him up he was fine, thank God!!! I guess he looks out for kids, fools & reptiles lol

Wow! I can't believe he's alive. Watch for RI as he might've ingested quite a bit of water.

Wonder how this will affect his wobble? :P

I'm scared cause u lucked up, he didn't have a wobble, my only issue with him was his growth he's about 8-9mo old and under 200g, I feed him once a week when he takes, I get him the small mice from Petco, he'll take 2 maybe each feeding. So let's pray no wobble, but he's more active now lol

There's some small chance he was clinging for dear life to the top of the agitator and above the water throughout the whole cycle.

    [I hope]

Just be glad she didn't toss him in the drier....:)

Poor little guy!! He's a fighter, for sure!!

Escaped snakes seem to go for the laundry pile a lot. My fiance's dad used to breed corn snakes and he had a mass break out one time. He told all the kids not to tell their mother and for every snake they found, he would give them $20. Several were found curled up in laundry piles. One was found several weeks later when it crawled out of the air conditioning vent and fell from the ceiling.... onto the couch next to pregnant mom. Oops.

One of my friends had the same thing happen! He lost his poor BP a bunch. Found him in the toilet bowl once.

I'm so glad he's okay! That's so lucky, especially since your fiancee found him before the drier!

Oh man, so glad he seems to be okay so far. Even though I love snakes, I still jumped and shrieked when my boyfriend snuck a rubber one into my laundry pile. I can't imagine finding it in the wash! :O

Am I the only one that finds this too impossible believe? I don't doubt that a BP could swim around and somehow avoid drowning, but how could any living thing survive the spin cycle?

I bet hes the cleanest snake on the block. Good find congrats. Yea snakes love laundry piles. When i used to do hots the guy that helps me clean cages was working in the venomous room and the idiot didnt fully close the lock hatch on one of the gaboon cages. Well that night i had washed and dried a bunch of sbake room towels and snake bags and put them in a laundry tub and put the tub in the venomous room. The next morning i went in the room as usual and saw that the snake was missing. I freaked for obvious reasons. Not only was it the nastiest tempered gaboon i had, or that its pretty much game over if ya get nailed by one, but i knew it was in the room somewhere waiting for me. So very carefully i got the snake hook and reached into the landry bin for a snake bag so i could hunt for him. As i grabbed the bag there he was and i just got my hand out of there as he tried to tag me. Let me tell you, i think the dead heard me yell lol
