Humphrey :) DUW

I took Humphrey out today. I love him so much, but I don't take nearly enough pictures of him. He's grown so much from the little worm that I bought him as. Last I checked, probably about a month and a half ago, he's just over 4 feet long and about 1100 grams (anyone who has a boa...knows how hard it is to weigh them :rolleyes: ). He's a Kahl strain albino, and is starting to get so pink! :love:

Once we move into a house I'd like to get him a nice female motley het (coral) albino female to be his girlfriend. I can't get too deep into boas simply because of how big they get, but I would like a nice pair to breed. Soooo different from balls :rolleyes:

Thanks everyone! Just for anyone with experience with boas, you don't think he's overweight do you? He's empty (which was horrific to clean!) and has only had a small rat since...ahem...emptying. :oops:

I really like his eyes, it almost looks like he has a cross shaped pupil

I was told that they are suppose to be shaped like a loaf of bread. No roundness to them at all.

Does anyone think he's overweight? He doesn't have quite that "rectangle" shape to him, but I don't really ever remember him being as rectangle as other boas I've seen, even when he was severely underweight when I first got him almost a year ago...

He looks good Leah, how often are you feeding him?

Every 10 days now, just switched from a 7 day schedule about a month or two ago.

That is one amazing snake Leah!! His eyes - omg....

He looks good to me. He does look a smidgen more rounded than the average boa, but I've seen a few like that and they aren't overweight in my opinion (my Peaches is one of them, lol) they are just built like that. He still has a slender body line and you can see the muscle rippling along his spine.

How old is he now? If you're concerned about weight, he might be able to go to one feeding every 2 weeks instead of every 10 days. Just a thought. And just make sure he has plenty of climbing opportunities to keep his muscle tone. Other than that, I don't think there's anything else you'd need to do. He really does look great! :gj:

He is just gorgeous! I hope my albino boy looks half as good as yours when he grows up. :gj:
