    TAT idea (date already set)
    Hey Guys,

So I decided on a new Tat that I am going to get at the end of january. I was curious what you all thought about it? The girlfriend did a rough sketch on my arm with black marker. She did a pretty good job of capturing pretty much exactly what i want. I know it's simple, but that's me :roll eyes: - I find complexity within simplicity. pEople say a picture can say a thousand words but personally I feel like one word can have the same power.

    .....

remember stands for everything i can't break down into singularities - for my past, and my friends i left there. For my mistakes and my transgressions. Everything I'm proud of and everything i regret. Everything that went into making me who i am, good or bad. i never want to forget anything, no matter how painful and how humiliating. If there's one thing i will have, no matter what life throws at me - it's my memories. And I cherish them more than any material possession i have.

Im actualy a professional tattoo artist and in my opinion i like script, gots a new school touch to it. Back forearms are a breeze.

I recommend doing a nice solid outline with an upward greywash fade, it will look dope.

I love it and agree with drama x, although I'm not a artist lol. I have a friend that has some letters inked on his forearm doing what drama suggest. It looks really good. :gj:

And I love the meaning behind it. It says it all in one word, in one tattoo. And that is powerful :gj:

thanks for the suggestion! i have to talk to my artist - i don't have a lot of wiggle room for $$ so i may have to cut him off at $300 and finish it in march

just my opinion, but i'm not fond of script tattoos at all.

i've never seen one i liked.

you should make 200% sure you know what you want before the date is set, though! so you're not pressured to make any decisions just because you don't want to push the date back. that things gonna be there forever

tattoos are not cheap. in the Vancouver area where i live they run $150/hr, and then you should tip your artist. my rib piece took about 9-10 hours. OUCH.

Geez Canadian tattoo artists are some hustlers lol

I usualy hook people up on shading, its quicker and saves ink. Coloring that all in i would imagine would cost more (depending on your artist).

At a shop price in my area id quote it at maby $300/400, but from me personally $150.

you have to take into account the INSANEEEEEEEEE cost of living here, along with cost of rent that the tattoo shops have to pay. on top of other expenses. I pay $1200 rent for a 900 square foot apartment and I don't even live in Vancouver, about 40 minutes out.

it's how she goes up here.

and yeah, shading is WAY quicker than outlining or solid color. thank god or else i wouldn't have afforded my tattoo, lol.

yeah 1 bdrm's here range about that, as well. 1 bedrooms are pointless. my 900 square foot is 2 bedroom, but the second bedroom is truly only big enough to use an a small office. a queen bed takes up nearly the whole thing, leaving you with no room for a dresser or nightstand. the closet is literally about 2 ft wide. i HATE apartment living!

    anyways, back on topic...tattoos...lol

I like it, your artist will be able to make it look a lil cleaner but it looks pretty good now. (I know you said she only drew it on w/ marker but she did a decent job lol!)
