I have an unsexed GTP and plan on getting a carpet this weekend. When breeding the two together, is it better to have one be the female over the other?

Most use a female carpet but my theory is the female is what determines egg size even when crossed with a ssp. that produces larger eggs.

Thank you all for the kind words. I hope to see an ovulation from the same carpondro pairing very soon.

trying to convince a friend to start making some carpondros, however, his friend's GTP is unsexed, and not handled. They rescued it from someone, and was meant to be a "wild" GTP, so no one handled it. How would they go about sexing it, as it's almost impossible for them to handle?

What is the current price now for Carpondros? Still in the $800 range, or is it lower now?

    Thanks

absolutely amazing!:bow::bow: what I would do for that Carpondro or the Albino Carpet... Know of anyone selling Het Albino Carpets?

Nice carpondros are selling at $1500-1800. 75% GTP carpondros are almost double that. Add Jag in the mix and your looking at even more.

The best way to sex a defensive animal is probably tubing it. Get a PVC or plastic tube jus big enough for the snakes head that it can't turn around and come back out.
