    New Dumerils Boa
I picked up a female Dumerils boa today from Richard Allen at Reptile Rapture. She's pretty awesome. I haven't handled her much since she's getting used to her enclosure but she is very docile when I pick her up. I am very glad that I bought her. I've wanted one of these things since I first heard of them around ten years ago.

Thanks. I'm not sure if I want to breed them or just keep her as a pet. We'll see later down the road.

    very beautiful!

i am also in love with my dum. seriously. IN. LOVE.

he/she (don't really know) is the sweetest, and most docile snake i've ever met. i can scratch him under his chin and pet the top of his head and he doesn't care at all. he moves sooooooo sloooooooowwwww.

    She looks great! Congrats! :)

I don't know if it's the flash or not, but I swear when I saw her at the store last month she had a lot of red to her. She's still really nice and very light. :gj:

I'm hoping that's how she will be. I was thinking about making her "my son's". He's got a super pastel bp too.

I would breed her with that pattern, should produce some killer offspring.

very nice pick up :gj: congrats. and one small piece of advice not to make you nervous just to make you aware. although durms are for the most part complete sweethearts. there feeding response is to say the least legendary. make sure you use tongs and not your hands to offer food to avoid and accidents.;)

Beautiful girl you have there. I have a male and he is gentle as can be except feeding time, then he takes the gloves off and means business. Hope you enjoy your Dum.

Congratulations on a nice looking Acrantophis. I also recommend using feed tongs. Not only do Dumerils have alot more strength, but they have longer strike range.

Yeah they do! :O One of my girls came out at me for her food. I wasn't quick enough getting it to her  I was really surprised with how far she could reach as long as she is.

One of the things I love about mine are how muscular they feel when you hold them. You can feel the power they're capable of yet so docile it's hard to even imagine them using it.
