    New tank for boa!
Picked up this 4x2x16 tank the other day, my male Dumeril needed more room.

I love those tanks but can't afford one so hubby built this 4' x 2' x 2' split-level condo for my Dumerils, Dixie.

[I'd swear she fills up the whole top shelf and half again now and she's 7 years old...late growth spurt??] :O

We're just about finished building a cabinet grade wooden one for my new Colombian, Brom.

He's getting a top-opening lid because Dixie's gotten "comfortable" enough to rocket out of her shavings and halfway out the sliding windows like a starving maniac on feeding day.

One of those "exhilarating experiences" per day is quite enough, thanks....LOL

    Congrats on the tank...it's wonderful!

    Someday I'll have one.....maybe....:)

Very nice! Is that a Boaphile Plastics enclosure?

I agree salamander. I really like the the plastic cages, but they are bit pricey. When I add a few more snakes to my collection I'm going to work on designing new cages or racks.

I'm using 11 inch flex watt covering 1/3 of the bottom, so 2 feet long from front to back

If I were filthy rich, all my snakes would be living in them.

    Alas, I am not.

So...we've got a mix of tanks, tubs and Boa condos.

Someday, maybe, my 100% het for Clown trio will be nice enough to make me some money for really good racks.

[they could at least pay for their food]....LOL

The black bowls wer his hides when he was smaller. He does not fit in them at all now but he still likes coiling up under them and using them as a hat. I learned once some time ago that he dosent like me switching up his hides, I put a bigger one in awhile ago and he got on top of it, like he was showing it who's boss, then went to the other side and he never looked at it for 2 weeks so I took it out and put the other back. he was in it within a day.

These tanks are made locally in my city so I don't think they are Boaphile brand.

Oh he's odd sometimes alright lol! My new rtb is cute, this morning I went to check on them, opened up the rtb's tub and he was poking his head out kinda like saying " hey good morning human" and he jut sat there for a few mins then I got him to go back inside then I left for work. Snakes are such neat animals, they actually have their own personalities, is what I think. Both my boas are chilled out, as well as my female ball, carpet on the other hand is a nut! I still don't trust him 100% yet, always full of energy and cruising EVERYWHERE!
