New Yellowbelly and 2 Captive hatched dinkers! (DUW)
Today was a big shipping day, as this is probably the last stretch of mild weather warm enough to ship that Wisconsin has until spring. After next week the below zero cold fronts will inevitably hit. We'll get 70+ inches of snow that could last until Apri, but for the last week or so we've had 40+ degree weather with a few freezing days isolated in between.
Today, I received not only an awesome cay caulker boa with a striped tail from Ben Siegel, but also an primo yellowbelly male and my buddy, Ryan, received 2 red blood babies. Not only that, but I also received 2 captive hatched dinkers from Mike Schultz from Outback. They definitely have a deep granite look but are very orange as well with high blushing. I'm hoping to hit a super from them and who knows? maybe it'll prove out!
Here's the BP's I got today. I'll make other threads for the other species.

Female CH Orangish granite like dinker (More apparent than male). She is in shed and no that isn't a mite under her eye LOL even though after seeing that pic I had to go check. Its just speckling.

The CH are in their own QT room away from my other QT stuff. They look good though and hope they settle in well over the next week. Check out my other threads that I am going to post of the Cay Caulker Boa and the Red Blood baby pair. Thanks for looking!

I love that yellowbelly! The second dinker looks really neat, I would definitely play around with it and see if it is a genetic granite. It looks granitey.

Thanks. The yellowbelly is one of the best I've seen, in my opinion. The pictures do him no justice. The two dinkers both have the same faded out heads and the granitey look to them. tons of blushing and flames as well. im hoping for a super granite. we'll see in a couple years. :D

I've been reading up on granites on the morph guide and in comparison to some of the lines shown, I think they (especially the female) look most like the second pic down (from Justin Kobylka). They both have the dorsal stripe as well. Its hard to tell right now but I have a good feeling about them. Here is the link to the comparison pic.

That first "granite like dinker" looks a lot like my male Russo.

That would be sweet. There is something going on with them. They definitely don't look normal.

Haha! Thanks everybody. I won the YB in a Ben Siegel Auction and payed over what male YBs normally go for by quite a bit but I feel that my collection, although only consisting of single and double gene morphs, are exceptional examples of the morph (with exceptions of all the dinkers as they are cool in their own). I like the fact that I get to start from the beginning and build my combos. I have heard a lot of people recommending buying 2+ gene snakes only for good results and as much as I understand that, I want to know what makes the 2+ gene snakes if that makes sense. I feel that by my choice of genes, I can determine or experiment with where I want to go with my snakes, ultimately, giving me the satisfaction in every snake produced. Including normals. :D
