    Reptile Supplies
Where do you guys usually shop online for your supplies? Everything from water dishes, tongs, thermometers, flexwatt.....everything. I'm trying to find a good place to buy some more supplies online.

Also, where is everyone getting there f/t feeders? I didn't care for the last place I got mine because the bags busted when I put them in the freezer so I had to put the feeders in new freezer zip lock bags. Years ago I used Rodent Pro and was looking to see if anyone else can meet or beat the price and/or quality.

    Thank you!

I get rats from American Rodent. Frozen solid upon delivery, packed well,(freezer bags) clean and fat. Super cheap shipping if u live in the right part of the country.
Interested to see what others chime in on supplies esp flexwatt :)

I buy hides and flexwatt from ReptileBasics. I buy frozen rodents from RodentPro.

I get tubs, water bowls, Acurite thermometers, and hides/fake plants at Walmart.

Rodent Pro has been my go-to for bulk feeders for my current 13 babies so I'll be sticking loyally to them: I haven't had any problems and their feeders have always been clean and packed well.

I buy supplies from Reptile Basics, Big Apple Herp, and various breeders / cage builders who also sell miscellaneous supplies.

I've ordered rodents from both Rodent Pro and Gourmet Rodent and I was quite pleased with both. It really comes down to where you live, though, because it's shipping that's a killer price-wise.

I love Reptile Basics, I've ordered from them twice so far and they shipped very promptly both times. The last one was just recently, and they still got here quickly despite the holidays. I really like Ultratherm heaters and the hides on their site are really great. Black molded plastic, very easy to clean. They're pricier than making your own, but I decided it was worth it (I only have 3 snakes) after searching every Wal-mart and Target in town for those cheap plastic bowls. XD

I just placed and order with LLLeptile.com for some other supplies, but I haven't gotten it yet. Presumably due to the delays in shipping this time of year. The prices were ok, at least the cheapest I could find for my particular items (replacement Helix probe, UVB bulb and Repashy calcium dust).

I'm no help for rodents, as I get mine from a really great local breeder. :)

Reptile Basics 100%. Rich is great for customer service. We have probably ordered from him over 20 times and 90% of the time we receive a tracking number the same day. He's lightning fast, he is always willing to answer emails and he actually shares our passion for reptiles not just a passion for profit.

I keep hearing lots of good things about reptile basics so I'm looking at their site now trying to get a good estimate of what I need to build a rack.

As far as feeders, I'll probably be going back to Rodent Pro, although when we move to OK I'm hoping to start picking up feeders and any other supplies we need at expos.

Thanks for the info, guys! :D

Reptile Basics for me too for anything I can't find at WalMart (mostly just get tubs and Accurites there). Love the customer service and fast shipping from Reptile Basics!

I LOVE Layne Labs for my rodents. I've ordered from Rodent Pro in the past and I gotta say Layne beats the socks off them with quality, cleanliness, and bagging. Layne's rodents arrive to me absolutely pristine. They are packed dry with legs and tail tucked and folded under. The bags are strong and sturdy and not a single rodent is stuck to another - no rat bricks to break apart! They are HUGE too! Their size charts are very accurate and a jumbo mouse is an average of 55-60 grams! Customer service is excellent, pricing is decent and shipping is too - prices are very comparable to Rodent Pro. I'll always choose Layne Labs from now on... :gj:

    Supplies:
I've acquired many from Walmart, Target, and online. There is one water bowl in particular that I absolutely have to have. They're called "PureNess" are are made by Van Ness Plastics. Target used to carry them for about a buck to a buck fifty apiece, in a size that fits into my Vision hatchling rack bins PERFECTLY. They have smooth edges and undersides, and finger holds, so they double as a water bowl and hide, and don't scratch up the snakes. They come in other sizes, too. My local Target stores stopped carrying them, and now I can only get them for an inflated price at Pamida. I'm considering registering for wholesale purchases with Van Ness and just buying 100 of them at once (about 70 cents apiece, I think).
This is the wonder bowl: http://www.vannessplastic.com/forcat...s_A1_photo.jpg

    Apart from that...
I get other stuff from Big Apple Herp, Spyder Robotics, The Bean Farm, and Pangea Reptile Supplies. No one I've found so far has the best prices on EVERYTHING. The Bean Farm is tops for flex watt, and has simple meds, vitamins, etc. Big Apple Herp has awesome cheap heat cord that is very long-lasting and sturdy, hovabator incubators, and and good thermometers/hygrometers. Spyder Robotics just has herpstats. Pangea has Repashy stuff, awesome elevated ledges that hold disposable cups for feeding arboreal geckos, and magnetic stuff (like a potted plant holder), acrylic atrium cages...stuff like that. Good prices, and they run great sales sometimes.

Animal Plastics has the best prices on adult racks, and Vision has the best prices (per slot) on hatchling racks.
I got my temp gun from Pro Exotics.
I get shipping supplies from superiorshippingsupplies.com, and from tsksupply.com (they have good, cheap snake bags)--

I did once receive a somewhat debilitated, but live, roach with an order, which I was less than thrilled with, so check your boxes. (Not enough to stop me saving money ordering from them, but I will be inspecting future shipments, lol. I suspect this is a possibility when getting things shipped from anywhere down south where things are warehoused with food sources, or animals are also kept. Something to keep in mind. To protect the possibly innocent, I won't mention which supplier).

I buy most of my rodents locally from reptilerodent.com now, but I used to use rodentpro for frozen rodents, for the most part.

For those who have small collections, I would recommend The Mouse Factory, as their rodents are pristine, and come vacuum-packed on trays, rather than in ziploc bags. The snakes absolutely do prefer them--I assume they are fresher and the lack of freezer burn makes them smell nicer. They are more expensive if you are feeding tons of animals, though, and rodentpro rodents don't have time to freezer burn if you're feeding them all off in a couple of months.
