I am confused. :confused: From what I understand, beige/tan is really black/brown with just the red eye dilute going on?

Correct, and red eye dilute is recessive so if the black male doesn't carry red eye recessive then it can't he can't make more beige rats, only black rats.

im glad i found this because i have been breeding a pair that is solid white and solid cream and i end up with blcks rats with a white belly.....
