Just got my first Morph pair!!!!!

Just got my first bp morph pair.....for free =]. My husband saw an add on craigslist from a guy who was getting ready to deploy, we went by there to take a look at them, tured out to be Mojaves. Male is 234g female is 174g, my 3 year old son fell in love with them so the guy told us no charge (originally only charging $80 in the first place). They were a great xmas present to me and my son. My first morph pair....so exciting!! =]

Will definately post pics later today cuz I defintely need opinions. The female is definately a mojave (not very bright in color but hey she was free!) The male however I'm still iffy what he is. He doesn't look like a normal, I'm still guessing mojave and our breeder friendwe sent pics to said he looks like mojave but it'll be easier to tell when he gets a little bigger. So I need opinions!!! I'll post pics later today =] its exciting cuz I've been wanting mojaves for th longest time xD

And my female,she is such a sweetheart. Again taken with a camera phone this picture does her no justice. Was told my multiple people she is a mojave (please tell me your opinion.). Either way both were free and are extremely docile. Can't beat that!!! Again let me know what I have =]

Both don't really look like mojaves IMO just really nice normals. Then again I don't really own mojaves and only seen a couple.

you're not kidding... the pictures don't do justice to them at all. They kinda look like mojave's but I don't see the fades at the bellies because the pictures are only from top view... I'd say they are normals... but again I'd need better pictures lol

That's why I didn't think they were normals. The normals I've had ad seen had no fde at all at the belly. These do. Ill take some pics of their belly tomorrow and post em. If you know anyone you can show these pics to I'm dying to know what they are. The female I'm almost 100% sure is somekind of morph, she's real bright and has nice blushing. I think I might need to find someone to see em in person. XP

The side pattern isn't right. I would say nice normal. A mojave has a lot more blushing, floating alien heads, and yellow in the alien heads or the dorsal stripe. Here's mine as an a example but they vary.

Definitely normals. Normals come in a wide range of colors, blushing, flames on the sides, etc.

They're beautiful snakes, regardless of what name you give their paint job. :P

Ah gotcha. That's what I thought. I'm still on thefence about the female though. I'm gunna put up a betterpic tmorrow. she is so much brighter in person. I guess its wishful thinkin lol. Ok that pic is what she looks like in person. Lol almost exactly. I don't have a comp right now so all pics are from my phone and she is so active its hard to take her pics. But she looks like yur mojave which is why I'm having a hard time believing she's a nomal. The male on the other hand I think is a nice normal. I guess ill know better when she's older? Or even once she breeds (which will be a while shes174g lol)

the size patterns on both are not Mojave ( I hate to break it to you... again) they are not key holes and cheerios.

Neither of them are mojaves, both normals, but they look nice and healthy :snake:

Yeah, I'd have to agree with the general consensus on being wild type ball pythons. :) Sounds like they found a good home though. Congrats!

All the snakes can vary in pattern and color to an extent, so this is just one more variation for you to compare too.

I'm sorry but I only see normals too, even the female. Normals vary WIDELY, and even the lowest quality mojaves are pretty distinctive, and I just don't see it. I have 3 normals total and they ALL look different from one another. One has crazy blushing, and huge flames, another has a ton of white surrounding her pattern, and the other is an orange color with a reduced pattern. You're seeing what you want to see unfortunately :oops:

I'll be beyond shocked if in the clearer pictures and belly shots she is deemed a mojave...

Of the 3 I posted, #32 IS my mojo female.
I would really like to see better pics because I posted the other two normal females because they almost match your girl on my screen.
I am sorry but I really think you have a normal from the pic you posted, even with a really bad camera your colors shouldnt look as "normal" as yours do.
Though I have been wrong before.

Ill post some more pics in a day or 2 she ate 2 mice last night so I'm lettin her digest. if she's not mojave then I just got excited too quick. Still my first breeder pair lol =] and they're sweethearts and were free =]. On jan 15 I'm gettin a black pastel from the ian g line so he can be my first cnfirmed morph lol

I know some of us/I can come off harsh but it is not meant to hurt.
I have not been a member here for a long time but in my short time I have seen a couple people come on here asking about something that they spent $$$ on and it was only a $ or $$ animal but the seller/breeder told them it was something else.

thanks everyone =] guess I got excited too quick xP but I'm new to morphs, ill get it eventualy lol. :P either way I love the colors of these 2 especially my female normal or not. But we are getting an ian g black pastel soon so I'm excited for that. If anyone close to nc has mojave females let me know I wanna get some black magics (one of my favorite morphs). Again thanks guys you were a big help =] oh and if anyone can post some belly pics of their mojave I just wanna see cuz you guys were saying its a way to tell a mojave I just wanted to know the difference thaks :D :D :D
