H.S.U.S targets West Virginia

Re: H.S.U.S targets West Virginia
That Ohio incident gave the HSUS Propaganda and Lobbying machine enough political ammo to last for years. And you can bet that they are going to milk it for all its worth, and then some, to keep those sympathetic donations coming in to fund their true agenda, that is now hidden.
The time for another petition and letter campaign may be fast approaching. Which reminds me, I need to renew my USARK membership this month...:gj:

That's why it's important for people to keep track of what their politicians and special interest groups are doing behind the scenes instead of just what is on Headline News, and take a more active role in communicating with their politicians when these situations arise.
That Ohio fiasco is not what is driving HSUS to push for this legislation. It just so happened that the timing of it played right into their hands, and because it was such a high profile incident, they are using it as their "excuse du jour" to gather support. Their ultimate goal is a total ban on pet ownership. They used to have it posted on their website, but they removed it a couple of years ago when it started attracting alot of negative publicity. If the truth be told, I imagine that HSUS was already in WV, long before the Ohio incident, lobbying and schmoozing some of the politicians to sway their support for this legislation. HSUS is famous for trying to sneek legislation through under the radar, so that it can't be opposed.

You can learn, study what's going on, help educate and when your 18 you can vote. I'm 37 and aside from my one vote and petition signature, its no different then what I can do to help fight this. Being a responsible owner helps also, look into joining a local herp society.

A friend of mine Marygay posted this a couple days ago.
What ever state you are in you can ask your senator iin WRITTING to please investigate the connection of PETA,HSUS, AND THE REST WITH our goverment agency USDA. the more iquires the more attention it draws and the senator who started the investigation will get support. the law is very clear that lobbist can not control or get in bed with goverment agencies. do they you bet. but it is up to us all of us to keep them honest and put them in jail if need be. the power USDA has is overwhelming and could destroy our whole agricultural system in this country. PETA AND THE REST have a real foot hold in that dept. of the goverment, i just watched a film a farmer sent me that shows with sound a tear jerking story of how dairy cows are RIPPED FROM THEIR MOTHERS AND HOW THE MOTHERS SUFFER OVER AND OVER AGAIN TILL THEY DIE. I WILL TRY TO POST IT. BOTTOM LINE------- STOP DRINKING MILK, how about the butter, cheese, cream and of course milk for children. USDA BETTER OPEN THEIR EYES TO THE FACT THESE GROUPS ARE MAKING FOOLS OF THEM.
