I'm not surprised. I have three bettas in my room, and while two of them will only flare when the snake is on the desk, the one my dresser apparently has super vision and will flare at her from all the way across the room. They are hilarious little things. Fortunately, neither of our snakes seem terribly intimidated :P

Ahahaha I used to use baby ball pythons at the petstore i worked at to make betta males trip out. I thinks its a preditorial response, they might think its a water snake n trying to show its got spines. But nice pics i hope she gets the hint n you find more then one under there.

(PS there is alot of betta "moprhs" n pattern n styles out in the world seen ones for $55)

Haha, the betta you cant see will flare if you even walk into the kitchen, hes aggressive as can be its funny. the other one is more curious then aggressive i believe.

Here is a story about a family here in NC that did find a little corn snake in their tree...
I saw this on CNN Headline News yesterday.

Their as several things wrong with that scenerio/video. My man just grabbed the snake "then later determined it was a harmless corn" and his wife was freaking out the whole time! what she think that little corn was gonna do? ive seen (and had) hermit crabs do gnarlier damage then its capable of

Side note - Id love to find a corn in my tree, Im planning on buying one in the next couple months anyway, so why not try to get a free one?? :P

I think you are correct, Id love to find a nice Mojave in my stocking ;] and besides, as long as youve got a fire going under the stocking , you could put that ball in a week before christmas and I bet it wouldnt make one attempt to escape that nice dark warm hiding spot ;]
