Surprise clown x CLASSIFIED clutch!

I bred my male clown to a female morph that hasn't been combined with clown yet(at least publicly). They locked 8 times this past season but I guess I missed her ovulation. She was definitely building back in September, but I thought she must have reabsorbed. Obviously I stink at palpating. I had finally given up on this girl, but fortunately I open every bin daily to check for poo/urates. Today I discovered 3 eggs, one of them a very small boob egg. All 3 have only very faint veining, so I'm not getting too exited yet. I have had eggs with similar faint veins turn out good, so I haven't lost hope yet either though. Even if they turn out good, the odds are not good I will get a male XXXXX het clown. If I do hit on a male, I will then reveal the details of the pairing.

LOL, yes really. I have photos of the pairing, but of course I am a jerk and won't post them unless I get a male.:D

Eggs were no good, had small sections of very faint veins at first, but they didn't make it. I'll try again next year. :(

I still don't why people keep this stuff a secret. I'm not trying to say it's dumb, or i disagree with it. I'm sure there's a real reason behind it.. I just don't know it.. :weirdface

Well if he's trying for a morph that hasn't been worked with yet, or at least not much, he may not want others jumping on it before he gets the chance since it didn't pan out this season. ;)

I understand the fact that ppl want to have, and keep secrets in this hobby even tho most ppl do not have the large collections like the "knowledge hoarders" do, so whats the point of hidding something most people wont have the ability to do at all? Most people seem to be decent on here and not theives like it seems (to some) to be when something new is about.

All power to you hope it works and there no need for so much cloak and dagger. Its not top secret nuclear bomb plans lol its a combo that will be stumbled apon later on by others given time.

Thanks Jerry, it's understanding people like you I would consider offering a het to when I finally make some.

Yes, I am shooting for something new, and I happen to think it is something that will be worth imitating. I considered putting up photos of the locks after the eggs went bad, since it is very likely someone will beat me to it now. In fact, someone probably has already made hets and is shooting for the visual right now. Yes, I realize anyone with a brain could come up with the same pairing, but I also know there are others working on the same project that appreciate that I am not putting it out there, and I will not, out of respect for them.

I don't understand why so many people are being negative....the guy wants to share his excitement of pairing up and getting eggs and has the chance to produce something that has yet to be produced!! But he's not yet ready to say what he paired the clown with, and for good reason!!

There is no thievery involved, if I were to post up my idea I would be GIVING it away. This hobby is fueled by imitation. I would be thrilled to come up with something someday worth imitating, I'd just like to make it myselft first.

Im sorry to hear the eggs didnt make it but just because others are working on it I deffinately wouldnt give up on so I hope you do try and you have success next time if it is true no one has made the combo yet then it will still be cool to show off and to enjoy holding the final visual combo. Plus it will still bring in money lol I wish you luck with your mystery snakes :)

I know that if I was trying to make something new I wouldn't post what the pairings was. Yes most people on here are honest and wouldn't steal your ideas but I still wouldn't take a chance on it. That's just good business. Thank you for having the respect for others who are trying at this combo and not revealing what it is. Give him a break and try to understand. Good luck on your pairing for next year and I hope that you're the first one to produce whatever it is and I hope that it's a hot combo ;)

With how many large scale breeders are out there (NERD in particular), I highly doubt that no one has through of your pairing. Maybe nobody on this forum, but I'm sure somebody has. NERD has been producing snakes where they can't even figure out the genetics of. No one is going to come and steal yours snakes because you have some cool idea.

just remember that gators gonna gate....I mean haters gonna hate. While some one else might be already producing what your goin for you never know. I dont blame ya for not releasing it.

Who said anything about someone wanting to steal my snakes? I already stated that I know others are shooting for the same combo and they appreciate me keeping it quiet until one of us produces hets.

I think I saw what is was. I won't say how or what it is out of respect for you but I googled it and it's already been done more than once.

I do not understand why people have to hate. I want to one day be able to name my own combo. Why would I tell you if I was on the verge of something new? Sorry about the lost eggs. If it has been visually done yet you still have a chance. Only the ingredients are around, they still have to hit the odds. Good luck next year. Haters keep hating you keep breeding
