Bee or Spider?
Hey guys! I was curious to get some opinions on Parker. She has doubled in size and just shed her skin yesterday (perfect shed, yay!). When I was looking at her she looks like a totally different snake. She has this surreal blushing and yellow that lines her sides and all of her webbing. Her head is fading out completely and she has bright green eyes. So I got to thinking... she was from a spider x pastel clutch, there were even bees in the clutch. Is it possible that she's just a lower quality bee? What are the main clues to look for between a bee and a spider? Here are some updated pictures of her, please ignore my pajamas. It was also difficult to get her to cooperate, so I did my best snapping the shots lol.

That's a beautiful spider! Not a bee, but a great looking snake!

Looks like a nice spider to me. I'm not seeing the yellows of a bee...

Thanks for the input, guys! She's just getting so light as she ages. Every time she sheds she just gets prettier and prettier. I am really very happy with my little girl. She was just shy of 100 grams when I picked her up back in October. Just a month later and she just weighed in at 240. My best little eater. :)

They change a ton as they grow up, I absolutely adore my little spider, she was only 105 grams when I got her and now she's 500 grams and looks so different. They only get prettier with age :)
Here she is at 105 grams

She does have a lot of single spot alienheads, yeah. I thought it was kinda cute that she has so many. My favorite marking on her is what I like to call the splat. You can see it in the last foto, right by the edge of my hand. Its a six pointed splat mark. I really adore it lol. I find these tiny things on my babies and love them for it. Lucky has eights all over his body, which is my power number. Riddle has a questionmark on her back lol. Fun to uncover all the cute oddities. :D

Definitely not a bee, bees are pretty easy to pick out. When they are young they are very bright yellow. It's a very pretty spider though!
This is my adult bee, so he has had a chance to fade and dull, but you can still tell he's a bee

Instead of a low quality bee you have yourself a high quality spider. Very pretty animal!

You know, despite the lack of double gene, I think i would rather hear I have a high quality spider than a low quality bee lol. It's nice to hear she is a good looking girl. I mean, I can say I think she is beautiful all day long, but it is nice to hear other people involved in the hobby that agree with me. I always thought she was a looker, but the older she gets the more I feel like she really is something special. I hope she stays light, but I am sure she will brown out some. That fading on her back and head is just so pretty. :)

Beautiful high gold spider! Imho, high quality spider beats a low quality bee any day :gj: very pretty snake

Yea I would rather have a high quality single gene than a low quality double gene any day :)
