    Facebook People, I need Help!!
Ok, so long story short, my daughter used my email address to create a facebook page which she no longer uses after I bawled her out over getting 400 emails a day.

I can't use my own email to create a page of my own because it's already being used. I can't get rid of her account because she doesn't remember her password.

What on earth can I do to get rid of her account?!

if she used your email cant you just go on fb and hit lost/forgot password and they can email you a link to change the password?

there should be a link when logging in which requests facebook to send your password via email (or at least a link to change it)

Have them send you a password reminder to your email account, you can change the password and delete the account.

Ok, so I managed to get halfway there. I was able to deactivate her account, but when I tried to create a new account for myself, using my email, I was told it belonged to someone else.

It gave me the option to claim the email, which I tried to do, but it keeps giving me a popup that says "The signature given by the OpenID provider did not match." and a button that says ok. If I hit ok, it just loops me back to the page to claim the email address. Any suggestions ?

you could always create a new email address just for facebook. most ppl tend to have more than one anyways so if youve got another just use that. and if you've thought of this already but have a reason why you dont want to go this route then you can ignore this :gj:

Why don't you re-activate her account and make it yours, you have the option to change pretty much every aspect of it, change the info, profile picture, password, etc and it's yours, no?

Why not just make a new email and use that one strictly for facebook.

Usually with that u get all your messages on facebook anyways, not like you need to check your email to see if u get facebook messages.

Well, it took just short of forever it felt like, but with your help I managed to make my very first facebook page! :taz:

I'm not really interested in the whole facebook thing, but since Ben Siegel does auctions on facebook, I decided it was worth the effort.

    I just thought of something.

If anyone here has Facebook and would like to what my daughter calls "friend" me, that would be nice.

You can PM me for my real name, I'm not comfortable posting it here.
