New to the Forum showing off my Babies! DUW
I introduced myself in the intro section and now I want to show off my "kids"!

First off is my Pastel. I got him someone who didn't want him any more. He was covered in mites and had shed stuck all over him. I've had him for over a year now and boy has he grown! He's so bright now too!

Next is a big female I got at the Dixie show here in AL. This one I've been calling Big Momma. She's currently at 1700grams on empty and is a PIG! The first picture is when I first got her two months ago, see the white spots? I'm not sure what those are from but the breeder said they were normal? Anyway she just shed and the white spots have faded in, just thought they were odd! Before I got her the breeder said he only fed live and WISHED his snakes would eat F/T. Big Momma has been eating F/T since her first feeding with us and doesn't even care :)

See the spots on her neck?

    Here is her neck now.

Next is my lovely little one. She( or he) is a little normal that I got from someone who couldn't take care of their snake any more. She came in the same 20L as a lovely boa. The owners said they had both snakes for at least a year and had been feeding them both live mice pinks the whole time. Little bit came to us at 125 grams and is now up to 235 grams and eating large f/t rat pinks.

Here's my Spider (ph pied) male. He's in shed right now but i'm happy to show off an older picture of him Lol. I'll get new ones once he's sheds his old skin.

My other normal female is in shed too. She came to me with the Pastel male in the same condition. She's been a great eater and is climbing to a good weight. She weight in at 975grams at her last weight in but i'm sure she's more than that now :)

I also have a het albino pair that I've had for a few months but they are both a bit grumpy and i have top wait till i have help to take pictures of them. I may be breeding them late in the season but if anything I'll be breeding them next season and I can't wait to do so!!! I'd love to have an albino :)

Matt K: I've always just assumed he is a Pastel to be honest. Since he was purchased from someone who could have cared less for him they just said he was a normal but i knew even when he had the shed stuck all over him that he was something different since I could see the bright patches. Once he shed I started looking at the morph list to figure out what he was. Pastel was the closest thing at the time but he keeps getting so much brighter with each shed.

Is there a chance he could be something like a desert? I don't know the cost of that morph is it around that of a pastel because I paid $70 for him and the female. That's one of the main reason I figured he was a Pastel also.

Thank you everybody. :) Everyone always loves my little boy(haha he's around 800 grams now, getting to be a nice big boy). He's locked with Big Momma now and it's their 2nd hook up so I'm hoping for a nice clutch of eggs with pretty little ones... **Excited!**:snake:

Chances are he's just a very nice Pastel. It is interesting that he was sold as a normal though. Deserts are prohibitively expensive in comparison to Pastels, and are one of the more rare and desired morphs on the market right now, though there is some controversy about the ability of females to lay fertile eggs. The best I can say is that the only way to really start figuring stuff out is to breed him and see what pops up, and it seems like you're working on that now! Good luck with him either way, he's definitely one of the finest examples of a Pastel I've seen! I'm sure none of us would mind seeing some more pictures of him!

    Cheers,
    -Matt

If I remember right they went to a local reptile show and their 10 year old boy wanted the two snakes so they bought them. Same story as I always hear, the kids got tired of it and they don't want to take care of it... Makes me so mad! A 10 year old isn't truly responsible at that age, so to me the snake wasn't his it was the families and the family didn't want to take care of it or even know how... I'll get off my soap box before I get mad LOL

Here's some more pics of him :P
This was their first hook up at the end of September.

Wow that pastel is hot! Looks like a lemon pastel in one pic with how bright he is :) And those white on the normal that the breeder says is "normal" looks like scarring to me especially with the way it's healed after shedding.

@Evan385: I thought it may be scarring but I wasn't sure since they were nice and smooth patches, it just looked like discolored scales. Now that it is fading away I think your right. I know she has a bite mark on the top of her head but i think these were more likely burns from an escape attempt?

Thank you all for the nice comments :) I'm always happy to see these guys do so well after I get them. Gotta be doing something right :D
