    Our new Pastave girl
Here's our new Pastave, Pandora. Let us know what you think! We wanted the Mojave gene and were considering some real nice Mojaves and Pastaves but this one just had such a cool reduced pattern (we seem to be on a reduced pattern kick lately. . .) anyhoo, here's Pandora!

Thanks everybody!! We're told that some of her siblings show some traits that indicate they might have the whiteout gene, so who knows what she might produce in our future projects!

That's a cool looking Mojave. I'm not really seeing the pastel in it though. How did you get it from?

x3 however it is a great example of the mojave gene and still a very nice looking snake!

I was told the pairing was Mojave x pastel, breeder says the pastel has thrown some really weird stuff. I did a google image search of "pastave ball python" and while most were regular examples there were a couple that looked like this one so I guess it's just a less common variance of crossing mojo and pastel. . .

A pastave should have green eyes. It doesn't look like they are green. I would contact the seller and request a refund.

Wow, huh. Thanks for that info. I'll check out the eyes and give him a call later. :(

She's a very pretty girl. I'm also not really seeing pastel in her, but I disagree that green eyes are the only indicator of the pastel gene. My pastel yellow belly has gold eyes and there is no doubt that he is a pastel yellow belly.

Also, when I did the google image search for "pastave ball python" this was one of the pics. Doesn't it look a lot like ours? http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...6Iffk41WOMkcKL
That was one of the reasons why I didn't question the lack of yellow coloration. I would definitely appreciate any and all opinions before I call up to talk about this issue.

Look at the Pasyave in the picture you posted. You can clearly see the Pastel colored nose on that animal. I'm not seeing it in the snake you posted.

None the less that is a sweet mojave!

If it were a pastave it would have a lot of yellow. You can see that in the picture you posted yourself. That snake has a lot of yellow that goes almost to the spine of the snake. Mojaves can have yellows/greys bleeding up from their belly, but it's nothing like a pastave would have.

    Did you pay pastave price?

I called up and we're doing a price adjustment to reflect a fair price for a cool Mojave female rather than the price of a two gene pastave, I feel like it's a good deal for a cool looking animal . I was going to pay $550 and I had put $300 down, now we're calling it all paid up at $300. Thanks for all of your input everybody!

No problem. Glad to see you got it worked out. Although, 300 is a bit steep, she is a looker.

I'm glad to hear you aren't paying pastave price. $300 is a little high, but she is a really nice mojave. I paid $250 for mine last year. I think I saw them for $225 this year.
