    Need Help with Market Values
Alright, I am going to be selling most of my snakes, but I don't know what to ask for them. I have been checking fauna and kingsnake to get an idea what they are going for, but the ranges are vast, so I would like to get some opinions about what people are actually paying so that what I ask is fair.

    This is what I have:
    0.1 Pastel 870g
    1.0 Spider 540g - producing plugs
1.0 Black Pastel het piebald 380g
    0.1 Mojave 770g
    1.0 Het Albino 710g - producing plugs
    1.0 Het Piebald 800g - proven breeder
    1.0 Het Axanthic 510g - producing plugs
    0.1 Het Axanthic 650g

All the snakes eat live rats - not sure if that makes any difference as far as value goes.

    Thanks in advance!

The only one I can offer much of an opinion on is the het albino. I just picked up a het albino male who was 320 grams, so a little smaller than your boy. It was local, but I paid 55 for him with the paperwork to show he was 100% het.

I would give you a price on the mojo girl, but it wouldn't be fair, cause we both know I want her lol. :D

Oh! I will add one thing though, I think if you paired the het axanthic male and female together you might be able to get a better deal! :)

I'll take a stab at it

    0.1 Pastel 870g $250-350
    1.0 Spider 540g - producing plugs $200
    1.0 Black Pastel het piebald 380g $500
    0.1 Mojave 770g $400-500
    1.0 Het Albino 710g - producing plugs $50-100
    1.0 Het Piebald 800g - proven breeder $50-100
    1.0 Het Axanthic 510g - producing plugs $50-100
    0.1 Het Axanthic 650g $125-175

These are just rough estimates the quality of the snake could swing the prices and paperwork on the hets would as well. I am not to sure on the Black Pastel Het Pied. What line are your Axanthics?

Yeah those prices seem to be about what I have seen other than the Mojave and Black Pastel Het Pied. But those seemed outrageous so I figured I would ask first. I've only seen 2 black pastels het pied for sale one was $1000 the other was $1500 both male hatchlings. The mojaves I have seen range from $250-1200 so I had no clue what was fair for the size she is. The Axanthics are TSK line. I am working on getting paperwork for the hets together. The only one I can't get papers on is the het albino male, so I figure I will sell him for a little less than the average.

The black pastel het pied is going to be outrageous and you should charge a little more for him. The reason being is because people are eager to try for panda pieds! AKA: Super Black Pastel Pieds. You have one half of that equation in that snake so he is gonna be a little pricier. :)

I was not too sure on the Black Pastel if you have the paperwork you should definitely try for a higher price. Mojave females are pretty hot right now. Also depends on their age you may want to throw that in as well. It is hard to evaluate market prices based on the ads because you really don't know if all the snakes are selling at the asking price.

That is actually why I picked him up. I had plenty of het pied females I wanted to put him with, then breed him back to a baby down the line. Lol but at that point, the panda pieds won't be nearly as cool anymore.

I'll go edit that post and add the years of the ones I know. And yeah, I could ask $10,000 for every snake I have, that doesn't mean anyone will pay it. That is why I started this thread, to get some ideas before I actually post them up for sale.

I can't figure out how to edit my first post, so here is what I know about age of the snakes

0.1 Pastel 870g - unknown but I estimate she is a 2007/8. Was a slow eater when I first got her. Now she eats live small rats just fine

    1.0 Spider 540g - producing plugs - 2009

    1.0 Black Pastel het piebald 380g - 2010

    0.1 Mojave 770g - 2009

    1.0 Het Albino 710g - producing plugs - 2008

1.0 Het Piebald 800g - proven breeder - unknown, but he produced for me last year, and was bred one year before that by the person I got him from so I estimate 2007/8

    1.0 Het Axanthic 510g - producing plugs - 2010

    0.1 Het Axanthic 650g - 2010

Please note guys - this is not the appropriate place to express interest in the OP's animals. Please keep inquiries and sales discussions to PM's. The purpose of THIS thread is to determine fair market value, NOT to advertise the animals for sale. Thank you.

Update - I was wrong about the axanthics. They are VPI line, not TSK.
