    Where are the female fires?
I've been browsing through Fauna and Kingsnake the last couple of weeks and I just can't seem to find any female fires. Is no one producing them or just hoarding all the females?lol:confuse:

You are absolutley right. I don't think I have ever seen a Fire for sale anywhere. Nor have I ever seen one in person. You know as well as I do that if we do come across an adult female Fire she is going to be a pretty penny.

There was someone on Kingsnake awhile back who was actually local to me that had 4 females and he was letting them go for 200 a piece. I was going to pick 2 up but they were sold out within 12 hours of the ad being up. Fire is hot right now and so is enchi... try and find a female enchi under 500 or a female fire under 400. There is actually one fire I've seen online that is a stellar example but the seller just wants too much for me.

Darn right we are hoarding our females!

I have one outstanding fire female and one male. The female I rescued and she was in bad shape. I call her stomach for a reason. :D Now she's gained about 200 grams, and still eats like a horse.

I saw a handful of Fires at Tinley, and I think the majority were males. Fires make some unreal combos, and in the next few years will command top prices in the market. I was darn fortunate to get my girl when I did for what I did.

However, my male breeder I picked up off Kingsnake for a steal, and I've seen a number of adult males on there since then.

I think they are hoarding them, lol. A fire female was on my list of things to get at the Tinley show and I saw very few there, and the ones that were there weren't up to par.

I have a pic of a "Firefly" as my current screen saver. It's probably as close to one as I am going to get.

Just got a female myself and I'm glad I did! It's been pretty slim, and I'm a total sucker for fire combos. Broke my "no new additions till my first pair produces a clutch" rule for it
