Waiting to handle after eating?
I've read that you need to wait 48 hours after feeding to handle a BP? Im dying to play with my little girl tonight and was just wondering why. :)
Thanks!

Oh?
No need to be snarky. This is just the opinion that I have seen most around and have come to believe.
Anyone else?

I always follow the 48 hour rule also - better to be safe than sorry. I have never had a regurge yet - thank god.
Just give your snake a couple days to digest.

Seriously those old school rumors are so over inflated it gets old seeing them regurged.
Snakes like to digest their meals after eating and it's not a bad idea to allow the snake to do so, BUT it will not regurge because you hold it.
stepping off my soap box...
Allowing your little one to rest and soak up the heat after they eat
Ok, again, no need to be snarky. You are intitled to your opinion, but take it easy. And for the record, I never said holding them will cause a regurge. What I said was holding them can cause them to stress. If a snake becomes overly stressed, it may end up regurgitating its meal.
One thing can lead to another. This in no way means every snake will react this way. But you won't know until it happens and a regurge is bad for the snake no matter why it regurges. Better to be safe than sorry and allow your snake plenty of time to digest its meal.
