Img ball python
Hi all, I have the strangest looking ball python I have seen, it came from a spider male to wc female. It started of looking like a dark spider, then every shed got stranger looking. I now believe it's a IMG spider. I am looking for as much info as possible on him, as in any ideas of what to put him too, and an idea of value if I decide to sell him. I cannot post pics on here but if anyone wants to see him just email me at stevehellyn@yahoo.co.uk
Maybe someone can get a picture of me, and post him on this thread.
Thanks in advance
Steve

Just upload the pictures on photobucket and then you can post them here. :gj:

Re: Img ball python
Hi,
Well the first thing is to get them hosted somewhere online.
You can put them in your gallery here - this tutorial is a bit old but the basic procedure is the same I think.
And here is another one in video form that might also help.
You can also use a site like http://photobucket.com/
They should also have tutorials to help you.
If you still have trouble just ask any member of staff and we will do our best to get you sorted. :gj:

Re: Img ball python
I really think it's got the img in it, I just would like information about it. I cannot seem to find much, like what's best to breed him too, was thinking pastel for maybe the worlds wierdest bees, a few normals for sure, have any img morphs been sold? What's he worth, any ideas?

I can't answer any of your questions, but :O :O :O he is freakin gorgeous!

Re: Img ball python
I've not heard of any of the changer type ball pythons proving genetic but you have to try just in case you have the first. I've heard a number of different theories as to what might be causing them but nothing for sure. I paid way too much for this one back in 2003 and did get babies from her in 2009. Some of the pastels looked a little different and I kept a male and will keep trying to get more eggs out of her just in case it's genetic but I'm not thinking it’s likely. With all the cheap awesome proven morphs now days I'm not thinking I could sell her for anywhere near what I paid back at the height of the ball pythons cycle.

Re: Img ball python
I have posted pics of this guy before but it is something similar to yours. This is a bumblebee. There was a few thread on this type of thing a while ago. I will include a before change and after pic....I have bred him to a pastel and got nothing really weird. I did hold back one female pastel that came out a little crazy but not sure if the mother had anything to do with it. I will be breeding him a little this year.

Re: Img ball python
So basically it's not genetic, but I have to hold back all his hatchlings just in case haha. Am gonna put him back to his mother, a couple of pastels too. And just keep him as a display animal at the shows. Am not dissapointed, he looks amazing. Thanks for all the infomation so far guys, it's greatly appreciated.

Re: Img ball python
It's a shame Randy and I don't live closer, we could put ours together and split a clutch, has anyone ever bred one IMG to another?? Maybe that would prove out the genetics. Maybe you two could get the bee male and pastel female together, if it works, am moving out there, has snake, will travel haha.

zach_24_90 has one that he bought a couple months ago. Maybe you can message him to see what info he has on the IMG gene. I hope this helps, it took me awhile to find the thread.
Here the link to his original post.

wow thats a very interesting looking BP. Looks almost Angolan to me.. or a hybrid Angry Ball..

I did some research on IMGs awhile back after one of my "normals" did the color change. About all I got out of it was that IMGs may be genetic in some regard, but the mode of inheritance isn't clear and it's very difficult to tell since most animals don't turn until at least a year of age, sometimes older.
They're absolutely gorgeous animals, but I think it's a project that would require a lot of patience.

Re: Img ball python
hi all , i just want to clear up this bit of confusion that steve from strictlymorphsuk has , about saying this img spider is his pride and joy in his collection and he may put it to his pastels for some bees . Thing is he may have a problem with doing that, has he does not own the snake and never has OWNED HIM. i bought this snake myself from doncaster this month and he saw me with it and asked to have a photo took with his phone and he did so hence the pic. he was trying to purchase this gorgeous snake from me and agreed a price with me and then backed out of the deal. i then find this thread on here, naughty , naughty , steve (THIS ROYAL BELONGS TO ME NEIL ROYALS AND IS IN MY POSSESION AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME UNLESS I DECIDE TO SELL AGAIN ) cheers and thankyou all for reading this neil royals

This turned out ot be a very intersting and confusing thread. Not sure how I feel about any of the information discussed in here. LOL
